Welcome to The Mitten Building! Originally constructed in 1890 as the Haigh Citrus Packing House, the building later operated as the Mitten Letter Factory from 1940 to 1980. Today, thanks to the current owners’ dedication to preserving its historical charm, the space boasts original brick walls, exposed rafters, and rich wood details. Since 2000, our family has proudly hosted a wide range of events in its versatile spaces, including the multi-level Main Room, the cozy basement Speakeasy Bar, and the Summerbell Room with its enchanting Garden Patio. Perfect for weddings, ceremonies, receptions, private dinners, cocktail parties or rehearsal dinner. Schedule a tour with us, and let’s plan the details of your special day!

Venue considerations

  • Does not allow pets
  • Venue feels large for events with small guest lists
December 6th 2025, my husband and I had our dream wedding at The Mitten Building in Redlands. The venue itself gives a warm welcoming rustic vibe, with lots of brick and exposed rafters. For the holidays they give this vintage centennial building a beautiful make over with garlands, wreaths, Christmas trees, and soft glowing lights. The entire staff was so friendly and helpful. From the moment we booked the venue until the day of our wedding (a whole year and a half later) We were in communication via email, phone calls, and friendly text reminders for upcoming deadlines and appointments. The staff was very organized and accommodating. The fact that the kitchen and catering is some of the best food we ever had is just a bonus! Thank You Mitten Building Team!! **photos: @LoveStoryPhotography
