“I had the privilege of photographing a wedding here when I was just starting out, and it’s a venue I’ve been hoping to return to ever since.
I arrived early to get the lay of the land. It was easy to find, parking was plentiful, and everything felt well organized. Before I began capturing details, I introduced myself to Jen and Dan, the owners. They were incredibly kind, welcoming, and accommodating from the very beginning.
The venue is located on their property, but it doesn’t feel that way unless you want that farm charm to be part of your day, which my couple absolutely did. I even got to meet and pet the animals, which added to the charm.
There are two separate getting ready areas, one for each partner. Both spaces were adorable yet very functional, which makes a big difference for photography.
Once everyone was ready, I started documenting the thoughtfully designed details. My couple wanted black and purple dark romance vibes, and the space transformed beautifully to reflect that. The ceremony area felt whimsical with lanterns glowing softly as guests arrived. Every element felt intentional.
After the ceremony, my couple chose to exchange private vows, and we wandered to a peaceful lake area on the property for that moment. We also explored other spots around the grounds, including a greenhouse or cellar space that made for such a fun and unique photo backdrop. There are so many built in photo opportunities throughout the property.
For dinner, guests were seated in vintage mismatched chairs that somehow worked perfectly together. The tables were beautifully decorated in the couple’s chosen colors, tying everything together seamlessly.
As the evening moved into reception mode, guests enjoyed an on site photo booth, which was such a cute and easy addition. My couple also had a tattoo artist set up in an outdoor library space, which fit their vibe perfectly and made the experience unforgettable.
When it got dark, the owners turned on the string lights, and the entire space felt cozy and magical. Even the dance area felt intentional and well designed.
Throughout the evening, Jen and Dan checked in on me multiple times to make sure I had water and food. That level of care for vendors speaks volumes about how they treat everyone involved.
At the very end of the night, at the couple’s request, the owners released the goats, which was the perfect and unforgettable ending to an already incredible day.
This wedding was truly one of a kind. It’s clear the owners go above and beyond for their couples, and I would absolutely love the opportunity to photograph here again.”
