Hi! We're Jeremiah & Cody. We met working in a music store in 2009 and instantly became like brothers ("Did we just become best friends?" "YUP!"). In 2011, Jeremiah's wife volunteered him to shoot her sister's wedding and he genuinely enjoyed it. So, he began shooting weddings. In 2016, Cody graduated RIT with a Visual Arts degree and was looking for his next move. Luckily for all of us, Jeremiah talked Cody into relocating to the Hudson Valley to help him with his weddings. And here we are! The two of us get really excited to take really cool pictures.

Awarded Best of Zola
We met Jeremiah based off of a recommendation from someone who had not used him and was upset she didn’t. She had told us that her brother had used him and when she compared her photos to his she was sad she had not found him before her wedding. We met him with a lineup of photographers to meet after and we were not even out of the parking lot after meeting him before we decided to cancel all other appointments and book him right then and there. Jeremiah is the kindest soul we have ever encountered— he is genuinely funny, warm and he listens to everything you say.. and remembers it nearly a year later when you meet with him again before the big day! His personality alone makes him a 10/10 to work with and then you see your photos. He airdropped us five photos before the end of the reception and .. wow.. there is no other word but WOW. He sees the wedding in a way you do not.. he catches the REALNESS of the wedding. The love, the way you look at one another- it all just flows with him and Cody. It brings tears to my eyes writing this because he truly makes sure you get to see yourself the way everyone else does. Cody will go above and beyond (literally SCALING hills and climbing through bushes) to ensure you get shots from different perspectives. They both are awesome and I truly wish we could hang out with them on the regular.. that’s how down to earth and fun they are. Please if you’re reading this and deciding to reach out to him just DO IT! You will not be disappointed and his talent is endless. We adore you Jeremiah and Cody and are so thankful that you were part of our day. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for everything!

DJ Nathan Aguilar

  • DJ

I am a vinyl DJ hailing from Kingston, NY with a colorful background ranging from bustling NYC bars to upscale weddings and intimate gatherings. My musical journey has brought me to Hasbrouck House, Hutton Brickyards, Woodhouse Lodge, and many other Hudson Valley gems. I have a fondness for 60s-80s vinyl in the styles of soul, funk, jazz, and disco, but my true talent lies in tuning into the universal heartbeat of the crowd. Ready to vibe? Let's party.

Awarded Best of Zola
Nathan was the perfect DJ for our wedding. He was punctual, set up quickly and got the party grooving immediately. He played a great blend of early disco bangers, through current dance hits and even had deep cuts spiced into the mix. Nathan, prior to our wedding, reached out several times to ask what kind of sound we wanted for our big day and if we had specific songs in mind. He was also in constant contact with our day-of wedding coordinator, so everything would run seamlessly. We would highly recommend this caring and professional DJ for your wedding, or any other event! Thanks again, Nathan!

We believe that the most important part of your day is ALL OF IT! Our style is hands off and candid, however we think that formal portraits and pictures of details are just as crucial to telling the story of your day. We understand that every decision you make will be done so for a reason so we want to capture it all for you. We approach each wedding as if it were our family that was there celebrating. We want the happiness and love on your day to shine through in the photos because after everything is done, and years have gone by, your photos may be the only way to preserve the memory of the people you shared your happiest day with.

Alicia and Rachel were ABSOLUTELY amazing!!! We had Alicia for our rehearsal dinner and wedding and Rachel for our wedding in August. Not only were our photos stunning and the emotions of the day were captured perfectly, they were both incredibly fun to work with! Alicia was also very thorough making sure that she got all of the right shots for our family photos with various combinations of family members. My husband's sister has special needs and Alicia and Rachel were incredibly patient with her and made sure we got great photos with her without overwhelming her. Alicia and Rachel's ideas for fun shots with our bridal party turned out incredible and the personalities of everyone really shined through. RUN don't walk to book Alicia King Photography for your next event, especially a wedding!

The Ruins at Sassafras Museum

5.0

New Lebanon, NY
  • Venue
  • Up to 250 guests
  • Raw space
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $15,000

The Ruins at Sassafras Museum is the home of the former Shaker Second Family on Mount Lebanon. (See our reviews on Google.) We call ourselves a boutique museum because unlike other Shaker Museums that replicate the past, we have interpreted the past and creatively restored each location on the property. You can have your ceremony in the ruins of an English garden, the stone foundation of a barn alongside a meandering creek, or under a willow tree overlooking our pond. Enjoy cocktails on the terrace of our Moroccan Bar or Stone House as the sunsets over the Taconic Mountains. Choose from eight unique sites to customize your wedding day. We can host 18 guests in our luxury accommodations and only 15 minutes away are many hotels and inns.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Flexible event spaces
  • Multiple event spaces
  • Bridal suite on site

Venue considerations

  • No in-house lighting and sound packages available
  • No free parking
  • No venue-provided food services
The Ruins at Sassafrass Choosing The Ruins at Sassafrass as our wedding venue was a decision that exceeded our wildest dreams. I could write pages about all the amazing things that this venue boasts, but I will highlight the points that future brides should understand when they go to book The Ruins. Being a DIY bride, the Ruins at Sassafrass provided the enchanting backdrop to bring my Pinterest board dreams to life. The rustic charm and natural beauty of the venue complemented my vision perfectly, creating a magical setting for our special day. The flexibility of the space allowed me to add personal touches, turning it into a unique and unforgettable experience. Even in late October the landscape of the mountains in the distance were breathtaking; our guests are still talking about how mesmerizing the views were. What makes our wedding story even more special is that we chose The Ruins before it was even finished. It was a leap of faith based on the vision and promises from Carol, the owner. When we did our initial tour, the venue was still in its beginning stages of completion; even then we were captivated by the potential and the unique charm it promised. What sealed the deal for us, however, was Carol's infectious enthusiasm, passion, and stylistic eye. Her vision and commitment assured us that the venue would be the perfect location for our special day, and it absolutely was! Being part of the journey from the early stages allowed us to witness the Ruins’ transformation, and it added an extra layer of excitement to our wedding planning. Despite the venue's newness and the inevitable growing pains, Carol, Lara (the on site coordinator), Jerome (Carol’s partner in life and business), and the rest of the team made sure our decision to trust them from the beginning was more than worthwhile. Being a newer venue, Carol and the team were still in the process of ironing out a few kinks. Despite some last minute hiccups, what truly stood out was Carol, Jerome, and Lara’s commitment to addressing these challenges in real-time. Their proactive approach and dedication to ensuring our day was perfect more than made up for any set backs in the planning process. This was a HUGE relief when planning such a momentous event. On our actual wedding day, when challenges arose with our day-of coordinator (that we hired separately and was not affiliated with The Ruins), Lara stepped in as our saving grace. Her quick thinking, attention to detail, and unwavering professionalism turned what could have been a stressful situation into a seamless and unforgettable celebration. Her ability to coordinate with our vendors and recalibrate the timeline on the spot showcased her experience and dedication. Without Lara's intervention, the day could have taken a different turn, and we are immensely grateful for her expertise and her willingness to step up and save the day. Her creative touch also helped transform the venue into a dreamlike setting, exceeding our expectations. Lara's dedication and experience truly showcased the exceptional team at The Ruins at Sassafrass, if you get the chance you should ABSOLUTELY hire Lara to help plan your event. The Ruins at Sassafrass, with its evolving charm and an outstanding team led by Carol, Jerome and Lara, made our wedding day an absolute masterpiece. We are forever grateful for their passion, dedication, and the magical memories they helped us create.

We rented the meeting room for the entire weekend and decorated it for both the bride and grooms families to gather. We utilized it to both welcome our guests on Friday and share breakfast and farewells on Sunday. In addition, we closed off half the room for the groomsmen to prepare on Saturday. The after party took place there as well. I feel the staff and accommodations really set the tone for a wonderful weekend of shared experiences for both families.

I got married here in June and only have positive things to share!! Our ceremony was held outdoors and was gorgeous. There are endless spots to take beautiful pictures. All of the staff genuinely care about you and never made me feel like just another wedding- and it was noticed! Friends and family all commented how wonderful the venue was and that they appreciated everything being in one place. Alana, our main contact, is so thoughtful & easy to work with and made everything as seamless as possible. She handled everything the day of- it seriously was as stress free as I could imagine! Maria, the bridal attendant, is an absolute dream! She felt like family by the end of the day. She steamed everyone’s dresses, arranged the suite beautifully for pictures and even set up our “details” picture. She knows exactly what she’s doing and was always there to make sure things were running smoothly and provide added support. Everyone raved about all the food, especially cocktail hour (the mac and cheese station was a hit and so were the vodka chicken parm quesadillas. I also personally loved the passed flatbreads and buffalo chicken spring rolls). Once we got to the reception, the night flew by but we truly had such an amazing time!! Maria was still tending to me throughout the night when I needed her- she was there to bustle my dress and make sure I was eating enough!! We then had our after party there and the grilled cheeses were a great addition for a late night snack. Getting to sleep on site in the cabin (and having that space the whole day and night) was another added bonus that you won’t find most places. Could not recommend this place enough!!

The Barn on Hubbard

5.0

Callicoon, NY
  • Venue
  • Up to 200 guests
  • Raw space
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $8,000

Located in Callicoon, New York, The Barn on Hubbard is a rustic and charming wedding venue. This fully restored 19th-century barn is ideal for couples who want a vintage wedding with all the modern amenities required for remarkable celebrations. The barn was originally built in the 1800s by the Gabel family from Germany. Dairy farmers by trade, this barn was the family's home and livelihood for many generations. Surrounded by picturesque meadows and the Catskill Mountains, the barn is now a desirable wedding site for those dreaming of a naturalistic festivity.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Flexible event spaces
  • Has a dance floor for celebration
  • Raw space for complete customization

Venue considerations

  • Does not allow pets
  • No on-site bridal suite
  • Venue feels large for events with small guest lists
The Barn on Hubbard was absolutely perfect in every way. We were married there in October 2018 and could not have asked for a better experience. The Barn's scenery in the Fall, set on a back road on a sprawling hill is to die for and made for wonderful photo opportunities. The Barn has beautiful natural lighting, a very cool bar built into an old silo, a great outdoor patio and a large lawn space perfect for games and activities. The best part about the Barn on Hubbard was that we were free to bring in all of our own vendors and decorate however we wanted, which helped us tremendously with cost savings. This wasn't your typical cookie-cutter venue where it is overpriced, one-stop shopping. We are from the city, so we thought it would be challenging to plan a wedding about 2 hours way, but Sara went above and beyond the call of duty. She provided excellent recommendations, was readily available to answer all questions, accommodated our rental company with drop off the day before, allowed us to decorate the day before, and helped to prepare a number of other things leading up to the wedding - not to mention everything she did the day of the event, from assisting with parking, to making sure everything was running smoothly. I highly recommend this venue for your wedding, or any event, I cannot say enough wonderful things about the Barn, the people who run it, and the time we had planning/celebrating our wedding! My style is warm, edgy, authentic & documentary. I am energetic, a true romantic, fun & your biggest cheerleader. My couples always become my friends because building a real connection with you is of the utmost importance to me. You will be able to truly soak in every moment of your wedding day while knowing that I am documenting every aspect of your wedding day. My style is all about photographing your authentic selves & who you are as a couple, I use fun prompts and lots of movement, which makes for a fun experience and captures you naturally. I will never tell you to "fake laugh", I might tell some bad jokes to get you to really laugh.

Amanda is truly one of the sweetest humans I’ve had the pleasure of meeting! From our first call, it felt like we were old friends catching up. Amanda is incredibly professional and personable, and of course her work is absolutely gorgeous. We did an engagement session with Amanda a few months before the wedding which helped us get comfortable with her and allowed us to get to know her better. Aside from that, Amanda frequently checked in to make sure planning was going smoothly and was incredibly responsive when we had questions! On the wedding day, Amanda arrived early and I was so excited to see her and she instantly eased my anxiety. Throughout the day, Amanda calmed my nerves and was so supportive and helpful with anything that we needed! Amanda also made sure that she captured all of the specific shots that we requested and made sure she did not leaving without ensuring that we were happy! We cannot wait to see our photos!

What's up? I'm Mike, and I love making kick-ass photos. I'm not a wedding photographer because I "absolutely love making people happy and capturing their beautiful story." I do this because I LOVE the feeling of making awesome photos, and I love serving awesome people.

Mike is truly an exceptional wedding photographer. From the very start of the process, he took the time to connect with us and understand our vision for the day. His warmth, professionalism, and genuine passion for his craft made him a joy to work with. On the day itself, Mike felt like part of the celebration—capturing every emotion, detail, and special moment with effortless artistry. His ability to make everyone feel comfortable and at ease is just one of his many talents. Looking back at the photos is like stepping into those cherished moments again, and we’re beyond grateful for the memories he's given us. It’s 90 minutes from New York City, and 30 minutes south of Hudson. It has hosted feasts for generations. Downstairs, intimate dining rooms and fireside lounges are ideal for parties of 8-10 people. Upstairs, the oldest Dutch Colonial ballroom in America is designed for long-table dinners and weddings of 25-150 people. Gather your friends and family for pitchers of shandy and wood fired eggs the day before or morning after your party. Chef/Proprietor Clare de Boer cooks food that is generous and has a sense of place. Ingredients come from surrounding farms and are prepared simply on the tavern’s mammoth hearth. The eggs are laid today, the butter is homemade, and the food is for feasting.

And suddenly the only reason to have a cell phone is to take photos of every incredibly gorgeous vignette. You have no choice but to be present and to indulge the senses as you take each step through the maze of decorated display and historic architecture. Carolers, trays of wonderful treats and smells and smiles all made for the most perfect and unique experience. The event was so seamless organized and curated. Hats off to Clare and Katie and the team!!! A personal thank you to them for the endless hours that it took to bring this amazing community event to our valley for all of us to enjoy. You made my Christmas season (yet again!).
