Today, Warehouse on Water is a blank backdrop to bring your moments to life! The Jacobi Warehouse Building was established in 1856. This rugged structure was used to store building materials, hardware, cutlery, artillery, and agricultural equipment. Warehouse 1856 is located in the heart of Historic Downtown Wilmington, North Carolina. Cobblestone streets and breathtaking river views are only the beginnings of the charm we offer.

We are a casual venue where you will always feel welcome whether it is your 1st visit or your 101st and whether you are a craft beer expert or someone who wants to come and spend time around good beer and good people. We are dog friendly, so you can bring your furry family along with you too! Our venue has a large indoor space and a cozy outdoor patio which is a great place to hang out with friends and drink awesome beer. Saint Thomas was the first Catholic church in Wilmington, built in 1847. Although no longer a church, this beautifully-restored venue in the heart of historic downtown Wilmington is listed on the National Historic Register. Our exposed brick walls, gorgeous stained glass windows, high ceilings and upper balcony make Saint Thomas a perfect backdrop for your wedding.

Pave' is downtown Wilmington's newest event space. We are conveniently located on the ground floor on Water Street (near Chandler's Warf)...just steps away from the River Walk and the Cape Fear River. We book it out from 9-4 or 5-10pm. We are going GREEN and not meaning just adding plants (but yes, more plants the better). No more wasting water washing linen/dishes. Our plates/flatware/cups are biodegradable (we do offer an eclectic mix of real wine/champagne glasses). No more 6 foot banquet tables. This venue is meant for social gatherings. Pave' is cocktail style so lounge if you like on the couch, hop up on a bar stool or stand and mix/mingle. We offer all the rentals. There is only one bathroom at Pave' so that keeps our numbers comfortably in the 25-35 range. This is the vision for Pave'. In the year of 1762, Mr. Newberry and Mr. Thames purchased the land from Mr. Gray. In the deed, there was mention of a sawmill and grist mill on the place, but no mention of a house. In 1833 Mr. Byrne purchased the land from Mr. Newberry. At this time the house and store were on the land. Later on Mr. Byrne sold the land, and it change hands several times..." The house served as a mill home, store, and the Gray's Creek post office for many years.
