Welcome to The Mitten Building! Originally constructed in 1890 as the Haigh Citrus Packing House, the building later operated as the Mitten Letter Factory from 1940 to 1980. Today, thanks to the current owners’ dedication to preserving its historical charm, the space boasts original brick walls, exposed rafters, and rich wood details. Since 2000, our family has proudly hosted a wide range of events in its versatile spaces, including the multi-level Main Room, the cozy basement Speakeasy Bar, and the Summerbell Room with its enchanting Garden Patio. Originally built as a livery and then used as a cold-storage warehouse, Millwick has reinvented itself as a unique stand alone, super-loft open to private events, outdoor wedding ceremonies and receptions, exhibitions and productions. It now boasts a flowing 7,000 square foot floor plan (4,500 sq ft interior + 2,500 sq ft garden courtyard) melding both interior and exterior areas. Millwick is an excellent event venue and wedding site for up to 175 people for ceremonies and receptions. Located in downtown Los Angeles in the heart of the Arts District, Millwick is convenient to many of the best new and historic hotels, restaurants and nightlife the city has to offer.

Seventh Place is an urban warehouse venue available for an array of events, weddings, parties, concerts, film and commercial productions, and large-scale exhibitions. It offers a unique, eclectic charm in the heart of the Arts District in Downtown, Los Angeles. A growing artistic and cultured community surrounds it, just steps away from Little Tokyo, Japanese Village, and Southern California Institute of Architecture. This impressive, seventy-five year old, urban interior space consists of bow truss 14 ft. high ceilings, vintage architecture with exposed brick, large windows, and skylights.

Valentine is our grandest location, and features a flowing 9,000 square-foot site plan designed for private events, courtyard weddings, receptions, exhibitions, productions and live performances. The venue is fully amenitized, and we provide experienced, professional site management, plus a commercial kitchen for client-selected catering teams. Originally built in the 1920’s in an area that has long served as the city’s seafood market east of Downtown, the building has lived many lives in its century of use; it’s been a hotel, a brothel, a fish and oyster company, and a commercial site for everything from glass blowing to marijuana cultivation. This mysterious history subtly informed our re-invention of the space.

Grass Room is perhaps our most distinctive location and features a flowing 6,000-square-foot site plan designed for private events, courtyard weddings, receptions, exhibitions, productions and live performances. The venue is fully amenitized, and we provide experienced, professional site management plus a commercial kitchen for client-selected catering teams. Historic South Central/ Exposition Park adjacent daylight studio is a light and airy creative space for photography and events. The space is a bright and fresh brick architectural building with wooden beams throughout, fresh painted white brick walls, and high sheen concrete floors — complete with a dressing room, lounge, bathrooms and parking. We can design custom lighting for your event and also provide professional audio services.

Located at the south end of L.A.’s downtown Arts District, The Clara is a historic Art Deco bank, revived as a daylight photo studio and event space. Stunning features include its original bank vault from 1923, elegant 19’ ceilings with authentic pillar sculpture, and custom lighting installations by architectural designer, Brian Thoreen. This 4,300 square foot two-story venue is an ideal space for events, film & photo shoots, and art exhibitions.

Located in Downtown Los Angeles, just outside of the Arts District, is our 4,000+ sq. ft. space. Stage 1 has polished concrete floors, two skylights, and a cyc. There is a production loft available that overlooks the entire stage. Within the space, the power rating is 400 amps. In addition, there are surround sound Bose music speakers.
