Nestled and surrounded by 160 acres of private land, you and your guests will enjoy magnificent waterfront views while you exchange your wedding vows on the picturesque outdoor patio right at the water’s edge.

The venue can seat around 200 guests comfortably. The main space is a dream with beautiful white shiplap walls, gorgeous stained plank cathedral ceiling and lots of natural light. The main space is heated and cooled so you can be comfortable in any season. There is a covered porch that leads to a large flagstone patio with a white fireplace, this is a great space for rehearsal dinners or just an extension of the reception space. The bridal suite is in a separate building adjacent to the venue. Recently built in 2023, with nearly 800 sq feet you and your wedding party will have a comfortable space to enjoy the day. Finally, there is an open air chapel that can seat 200 guests comfortably. It has beautiful cathedral style windows in the front and back of the chapel and open arches on the sides. This chapel will make a great rain back up option for your wedding day or if you love it as much as we do, it can be a beautiful plan A option as well.

In the year of 1762, Mr. Newberry and Mr. Thames purchased the land from Mr. Gray. In the deed, there was mention of a sawmill and grist mill on the place, but no mention of a house. In 1833 Mr. Byrne purchased the land from Mr. Newberry. At this time the house and store were on the land. Later on Mr. Byrne sold the land, and it change hands several times..." The house served as a mill home, store, and the Gray's Creek post office for many years.

Centrally located in Chatham County, our venue is easily accessible from the Greensboro, Raleigh, and Fayetteville areas. Just minutes from the historic Camelback Bridge and downtown Sanford, guests can escape the sounds of the city as they celebrate an evening on the Farm. Down a gravel road, surrounded by lush fields is a sweet & elegant, unique, farm venue. With a pond & a goose or two, we can make your event amazing! Doug and Cindy Carroll opened the venue in 2005 with the first wedding being held in 2006. Doug’s grandson, Paul, now takes care of the property and his wife Monica handles the day to day operations and even coordinates some of the weddings.
