From the first conversation all the way through the end of the event, everything was handled with so much professionalism, care, and attention to detail. Planning an event can be stressful, especially when you’re trying to make sure the food, setup, timing, and overall experience come together the way you imagined. The team at Maison D made the entire process feel so much easier. They listened to what we wanted, communicated with us throughout the process, and were very accommodating when it came to the little details that mattered to us. The food was honestly one of the highlights of the event. Everything tasted fresh, was seasoned really well, and the presentation was beautiful. Our guests kept talking about how good the food was, and several people even asked who catered the event. The portions were great, everything came out looking professional, and you could tell that they actually take pride in what they serve. What impressed me just as much as the food was the service. The staff was friendly, respectful, attentive, and professional without making things feel stiff or overly formal. They made sure our guests were taken care of and handled things behind the scenes without us having to constantly check in or worry about what was happening next. That allowed us to actually enjoy the event instead of spending the entire time trying to manage everything. There were also little touches throughout the event that showed they genuinely cared about the experience and weren’t just there to provide food and leave. That type of hospitality is hard to find. Overall, we had a really great experience with Maison D Events and Hospitality. “We were so impressed with the quality of the food and service at our wedding this past July with Old Carolina! Our guests absolutely loved the buffet style and the choices were perfect for a summer wedding. We had multiple guests come up to tell us that even the appetizers (massive chicken tenders) were the best they had at a wedding! The food was simple but delicious, and so much more affordable than other options! They listened carefully to all my needs and provided thoughtful suggestions that made the entire process stress-free. The oxtail was tender and flavorful, cooked to perfection with a rich, savory sauce that had just the right amount of seasoning. Every bite was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The crab fried rice was another standout—packed with juicy crab meat and a delicious combination of flavors. It was the perfect balance of savory and just the right amount of richness. I’ve had many versions of crab fried rice, but this one was top-tier. As for the overall experience, the quality and value of their work were exceptional. “Food is one of the most important parts of a wedding, and La Vera did NOT disappoint. Carl and his team are professionals and go above and beyond to cater to their guests. Holly specifically was one of a kind to work with to make our wedding day spectacular! Her attention to details does not go unnoticed, and strives to make sure all guests are well taken care of. Many of our guests had special food requests and allergies, and the La Vera team under Holly managed them with ease. As the bride, I had one simple request for food on my wedding day, and that was a side of macaroni and cheese. Holly replied “Absolutely!” with no hesitation for this request, even though it isn’t on their menu. When my husband and I entered our reception area and took our seats at our sweetheart table, there was a bowl of macaroni and cheese already waiting for us alongside our salads. La Vera’s food is delicious, it comes out hot and in a timely manner, and so happy we chose them for our food catering! Our guests still talk about how tender their beef was! We will definitely use La-Vera again for our catering needs, I couldn’t recommend them enough!”

They implemented my additions and were flexible with adding to the menus and number of guests. Rachel helped me walk thru how much to plan for, which helped keep the budget down. They arrived early, set up, were ready on time for our lunch time event, and cleaned up so well you couldn’t tell they were there!
