We couldn't have asked for a better experience at The Barred Owl @ The Scarlet Hotel. From the moment we started planning, their team communicated with us in a way that was straightforward and easy to work with, making the entire process feel smooth. Having our ceremony, reception, and hotel all in one location took so much stress out of the day and let us focus on celebrating with our loved ones. The staff truly went above and beyond! There are so many options for places within the hotel and outside for photos, which we loved. We did our first look and photos on the balcony of the Barred Owl and outside around the hotel. When the weather got bad, we transitioned indoors and were able to get amazing photos from the setup inside. Our main contact even came in on her day off to make sure everything was perfect, and the chef, bartenders, and everyone else we encountered were genuinely excited to be part of our wedding. They made sure guests with dietary restrictions had delicious food options and left us a thoughtful gift in our room, showing they cared about every detail. The Scarlet gave us the full-package service we needed, and their attention to what mattered most made our day absolutely special.

What Should You Ask When Touring Nebraska Wedding Venues?

Nebraska's variable climate means you should always ask about weather contingency plans when touring potential venues. You don't want your perfect day ruined by unexpected rain or those famous Nebraska winds. For multipurpose venues like Wilderness Ridge ask about noise restrictions and overtime fees since these can impact your celebration timeline. When visiting all-inclusive venues like The Barn in Bennington make sure to clarify what's actually included in the base price versus what will cost extra. Getting these details upfront helps you avoid budget surprises later and ensures you're comparing venues accurately.
