Beautiful photography was a priority for us, and we wanted our photos to have a genuine, documentary style feel. We wanted the photos to capture the real beauty of the day, without being too heavily edited (we hate the photographers who made everything look pastel!). “Mikkel was more than just our photographer, she was a partner to us for the wedding as a whole! We had a destination wedding on the new Disney cruise ship, the Wish, and while it was an amazing time there were definitely challenges to planning a destination wedding at a brand new venue that we couldn't see until the wedding trip itself. Mikkel has a strong network of contacts in the industry that kept her informed of the ship and logistics and she ended up being more helpful to us than our Disney wedding coordinator! She checked in multiple times throughout our wedding planning on photography things such as the timeline, but also helped in providing her opinion on things like the bridesmaid dresses, the locations for the first look, and was generally helpful with her wealth of knowledge of Disney Cruise Line weddings to bounce ideas off of. Her pictures were INCREDIBLE! The quality, coloring, angles, lighting, everything about them is absolutely perfect. But most importantly, she is such a warm and happy person to work with that we felt incredibly comfortable posing in front of her for hours on end! We also had the luxury of her husband helping us a bit too and they were such a team, working together in the hot Bahamian sun quickly and effectively without even needing to direct each other most of the time to maximize how many pictures we could get before the sweat ruined our dress/suit/hair! Another attribute of Mikkel's that's worth mentioning is her flexibility.
