After relocating to DC and still receiving countless inquiries from all corners of the country, Ryan decided to recruit and train a few talented friends so he could continue offering the quality wedding videography he’s known for in SoCal and eventually over 10 cities. In 2013, after working professionally in film for many years, I began to apply my interest in storytelling to creating authentic wedding videos. My filmmaking style is a blend of cinematic and documentary elements, with an emphasis on music and emotional expression. My favorite moments to capture are honest and unplanned, so I like to stay in tune and shoot what happens naturally. When I'm not attending weddings, I enjoy writing music, reading, and spending time with my wife and kids in West Chester, PA.

Few things get me more excited than telling stories through video. Videography isn’t a job – it’s my artistic passion. I pride myself on delivering a quality, custom experience. It’s not just the video that’s important – it’s all the details leading up to the big event. I plan every shot so that nothing is left on the table. I use state-of-the-art equipment and a team of highly skilled cinematographers to document moments you may have missed but can revisit forever.

What started as a way to remember fun times with friends, my passion for story telling has evolved into a full time job. Honestly, it’s the best. I love love. Hello! My name is Alec and I run Small Batch Films! With a Master's Degree in Business Administration, I never thought I would find my love in wedding videography. I initially picked up a camera as a hobby, and then friends started asking me to do photography for them. Pretty soon I was doing photography for my friend's weddings, and I was hooked. It was such an exhilarating feeling to capture such an important day in the lives of two people in love! But where I really found my love was with the video camera.

Cinematography has given me the creative outlet to tell stories that I always wanted growing up and my couples have given me amazing stories to tell. My main philosophy when it comes to Wedding Filmmaking is that it is not only about creating a video that tells the story of the wedding day, but it’s also about creating a film that tells the story of the couple. My filming style has been described as documentarian and pleasantly discrete. I may stage a few shots from time to time and I will work with the photographer as they are posing you for specific shots, but my films are defined by the fleeting moments in the midst of a very busy day.

I graduated from Temple University with a degree in Film, and I then began working freelance for a few different high volume companies. In 2007, I began offering my services directly, focusing on quality instead of volume.
