- Save-the-date cards: 6–8 months before the big day
- Invitations: 6–8 weeks out from your date
- Ask for replies 3–4 weeks before the event
- With a far-off or travel-heavy event, you’ll want to send each of these types at least 2–4 weeks earlier
What Trends Do Most Couples Follow in Invitation Design?
Portrait style is the main choice—over 70% go that way—while only a few pick landscape. Simple shapes and plain frames show up far more often (about 5%) than things like wreaths, arches, or shiny bits, which now appear in just 1% of cases.
