Mint Barrel Barn - Event Center
Rating: 5.0 (2 reviews)
Nampa, ID
  • Up to 200 guests
  • Select services
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $5,900

The Mint Barrel Barn is a stunning, gambrel-style barn that was built in 1910. The barn’s earliest years are a mystery, but in later years it was used as a mint still. Huge quantities of local peppermint crops were distilled into mint oil, stored in large barrels, and sold across the nation to manufacturers of gum, mouthwash, toothpaste, and candy. Companies like Wrigley’s, Crest, Colgate, and LifeSavers paid top dollar for mint oil for their products. Since 2006, the Fulfer family has owned the barn, lovingly maintained it, and opened it up to friends and family as a warm and memorable gathering space for countless events. Owner, Kapri Maupin (Fulfer), wanted more people to be able to experience the history and make memories in the one-of-a-kind barn, so in 2018 she started upgrading and beautifully restoring the property. The barn now retains its historic beauty and is upgraded with all the amenities needed for a 21st century event.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Provides setup and cleanup
  • Unique barn setting
  • Has a relaxed and casual vibe

Venue considerations

  • Does not allow pets
  • Large venue, not ideal for small guest lists
  • Additional event staff required
“As a videographer, I can't recommend the Mint Barrel Barn enough—it’s an absolute dream to film at. The venue’s rustic charm combined with its breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and valleys creates a picture-perfect backdrop for any wedding or event. The barn itself, with its history dating back to 1910, offers a unique blend of vintage character and modern touches, making every shot feel timeless and cinematic. The staff is also just absolutely fantastic—super accommodating and organized—which makes my job so much easier. Reina is absolutely amazing and always making sure its couples, families, vendors, are all comfortable and have everything we need. Having a team that understands the needs of vendors like me ensures that everything flows smoothly, allowing me to focus on the couple and keeps my mind at east with a hundred things going on during a wedding day. If you’re looking for a venue that’s as stunning on camera as it is in person, Mint Barrel Barn is truly top-tier.”

“We had such an amazing experience having our wedding at Hotel Renegade. From the planning process all the way through the wedding day, we felt incredibly taken care of. Mike was truly amazing to work with. He met with us several times throughout the planning process and was always quick to respond and willing to talk through any question or concern I had. We met in person, over Zoom, emailed, had phone calls, whatever I needed. He is extremely organized and always made it really straightforward what we still needed to do, which made the whole planning process feel so much less overwhelming. He also took extra care to make sure our guest in a wheelchair and other guests who needed additional assistance were comfortable and taken care of, which meant a lot to us. I knew I wanted our wedding to feel elevated, chic and modern, and that is exactly what we got. We were able to have our ceremony outside under the Cupola, which I absolutely loved, stayed outside for cocktail hour and then move inside for the reception. The ballroom was beautiful, and one of my favorite things about the Renegade was that I didn't feel like I needed to bring in my own decor to make the space feel complete. We used their table numbers, centerpieces, signage and other decor, and it all came together beautifully. It was so nice not having to spend my time and money sourcing every little detail myself. The food was great as well, and we had such a good experience with our tasting. We got to meet with the head chef and bring my parents with us, which made that part of the planning process really special. Our guests also had great things to say about the food. On the wedding day, Mike and Angel were both there and were incredibly attentive and responsive. If there were any issues happening behind the scenes, I genuinely had no idea. Everything just happened when it was supposed to, and they made it look easy. They also thought of so many little things throughout the day. They had drinks waiting for us, made sure we were taken care of, and even had extra food and champagne waiting in our room at the end of the night. Those little details made us feel really special. I really can't say enough good things about our experience, and so much of that is thanks to Mike. The Renegade gave us exactly the type of wedding we wanted, and Mike, Angel and the rest of the team made it possible for us to actually enjoy our wedding instead of worrying about what was happening behind the scenes. We would absolutely choose the Renegade again!”
