New Life Video + Photo (Videography)

I hired New Life Video & Photography for my wedding in January 2023. My initial interactions were great. The day of my wedding, Charles was the only videographer that was presented at the event, but had multiple cameras so I didn't stress too much. The contract indicated that delivery of videos would be up to 6 months from the wedding date, which seemed fairly reasonable. At the end of July 2023 I had not heard anything from Charles or the company in general. I reached out via email inquiring about an ETA. In the response they claimed they had previously reached out (which they had not) advising of delays. In that same email they estimated the delivery to be completed within a couple of weeks. By the beginning of September I had not received the videos, nor any additional communication to make me aware of the situation. After reaching out to them again via email, I received a response that Hurricane Idalia had presented challenges and they were working to diligently address their backlog. But still no ETA and no indication of genuine concern that it was now 7-months since my wedding and no product had been delivered. By mid-September I was trying to call and email with no responses being received. At the end of September, Charles (owner) emailed advising there were no words or excuses that were adequate to address our frustrations and the shortcomings that were occurring. At this point, it became aware it was just excuses being created, because this time it was "changes take time, some of the reasons for these delays are leftover issues, and they are on the road to being better and addressing their mistakes." I was told he would personally review our edits, but still no ETA provided on receiving our videos. Fast forward to November 2023, still no videos or communication received. Emails and phone calls were going unanswered. But finally received a response with yet again more excuses as to why our wedding videos had not been completed now 9-months after our wedding. The response again indicated "renewed commitment, downsizing operations, and implementing changes". But I was told they would reach out by the end of the week with an updated delivery date of our videography package. This was on 11/8/2023. On 11/15/2023 I received an email that I could expect our videos on 12/6/2023. On 12/14/23, I had not received the videos as I was advised I would be and had to again reach out. Still no responses from emails or phone calls, I had to go to their website to submit a new quote request, just to have someone contact me. I didn't receive a response from that request until 12/30/23, at which point I was advised the videos were being exported and should them on 1/2/2024. On 1/4/24, I finally received an email indicating our videos were ready for view and download. But another hiccup, the videos did not equate to the contract services, nor did they appear to actually be edited or formatted to any degree. In the videos I received there was not one moment of my ceremony provided. I then sent a certified demand letter threatening legal action, which was returned as address unable to make contact. And spent many more months through 2024 email, texting, and calling until I finally received by videos in May 2024. Almost 1.5 years after my wedding. The worst and most heart aching encounter. I would not recommend this company after what I went through.
