The Cottage at Woodland Farm is a beautiful venue hosting timeless weddings, private parties, and seasonal events in the heart of the Cedar Valley in Iowa. We’re now booking for mid-2025 and beyond. Our inclusive approach provides everything needed for a seamless event! Enjoy overnight accommodations in our charming bridal cottage, which sleeps up to 12 guests. Prepare for your big day in our gorgeous bridal suite and groom room, then celebrate in our elegant event barn, covered lower barn, or gathering hall (coming soon!). The scenic grounds, featuring a stunning willow tree, provide the perfect backdrop for ceremonies and photos. We also offer beverage services, planning support, timeline assistance, photography, decor, and a floral credit included with your venue booking. Where rustic charm meets refined elegance, our beautifully restored event barn is the heart of celebrations at The Cottage at Woodland Farm.
Our beautifully restored 2,100 sq. ft. event barn is the perfect setting for receptions, cocktail hours, indoor ceremonies, private events, grad parties, and more. Featuring whitewashed wood, gorgeous light fixtures, and an open layout, the space can be customized to suit any event. Whether you're planning your reception in this space or need a backup option for inclement weather, the event barn has you covered! A majestic willow tree just outside is also a stunning backdrop for photos.

The bridal cottage is the ideal space for a relaxing wedding weekend getaway. Accommodating up to 12 guests, it offers a cozy, private retreat just steps away from your celebration. With its charming, restored interior, the cottage is perfect for getting ready, unwinding, and creating memories with your closest friends and family. Available for an entire weekend stay, it provides the perfect setting for a stress-free, unforgettable experience.

Amazing small town venue
Having a wedding venue that you can do EVERYTHING at in one place is so special and convenient and not something you can find everywhere. To me, it was priceless to be able to have our rehearsal dinner, bridal party sleep over, wedding ceremony and reception all in one place. With so many nice places to take photos on the property, we were not only able to save money not having to transport people around for pictures, but most importantly we saved TIME. We were able to spend less time on pictures and transportation and enjoy our friends and family and reception that we worked so hard to plan. The house on the property was so nice and fun for my girls to spend the weekend in as well as my out of state guests. The employees at the cottage are also amazing to work with. The owner as well as the coordinators. Special shout out to Kayla, who planned so many details and helped everything run smoothly down to the last details like a coffee crisis on the morning of! She was just so fantastic to work with the entire engagement process and the entire wedding weekend. I would 100% get married here again!

The Cottage at Woodland Farm is so versatile!
We had an incredible experience working with The Cottage at Woodland Farm for our wedding. They have responded to all of our questions quickly and in detail, and we have always felt supported throughout the planning process. You get so much bang for your buck - they provide the bridal house for us to not only get ready in, but also stay over in! The gathering hall has a super cool and thoughtful space for the groom to get ready, and the event barn/lower barn is truly a special and unique space. I have never been to a wedding venue like this anywhere else. The team at The Cottage at Woodland Farm is top-notch, supporting us every step of the way with their 3-step planning approach, and they even sprinkled in little special touches, always going above and beyond. We can't say enough positive things about The Cottage at Woodland Farm!
