East Room & Courtyard

Our newly remodeled East Room includes aged brick, glazed concrete and original hardwood flooring custom-designed to complement the existing architecture of the building, a Fort Wayne landmark since 1970. Equipped with private washrooms, a new Bridal Suite and a unique bar with a penny countertop (a must-see), it is the epitome of Industrial, Elegant Chic and is suitable for a myriad of design-styles, from Industrial Chic, Modern Farmhouse to Shabby Chic, French Country and Mediterranean- with our expert Décor team, the space can be transformed into dozens of styles and themes.

Included in this room:

The East Room accommodates up to 300 guests for sit-down events and 400 guests for cocktail-style events. This space can also be used for seated wedding ceremonies, receptions, rehearsal dinners, auctions, holiday parties, book signings, music concerts and recitals, lectures, workshops and a variety of other purposes. The East Courtyard was designed with you in mind! Bridal showers, rehearsal dinners, anniversary parties- even a Princess-themed Tea Party can be held in The Charles’ East Courtyard.

Both the East and West Rooms have Bridal Suites that can be rented hourly.

All events require security. We use Fort Wayne Police Department officers. You may not provide your own security service.

In-house DJ Service provided by Alomar Entertainment.

We provide all Decor Service: Tables, Chairs, Linens, China, Stemware, Silverware, Candles, Centerpieces and meetings with the Decor Team to personalize every event. You may provide some/all of your own Decor if desired. Approved florists are welcome at The Charles as well. There is no reduction to the Decor charge for providing own centerpieces.

Alcohol may not, per Indiana Excise, be brought onto the premises by our clients. All alcohol must be obtained via The Charles Fort Wayne.
