About this venue

Rowan Oaks, a fully restored historic homestead, offers the perfect location for your entire wedding event; rehearsal, wedding, and reception. Indoors we offer comfortable seating in two dining areas, three parlors, and a fully furnished kitchen. Our outdoor space provides several options for your wedding service; a raised pergola, a large patio, or a spacious lawn. We provide 50 white chairs for your use as well as several large tables to use outdoors.

Rowan Oaks is beautifully restored and decorated with period furniture giving your guest a taste of 19th century charm with 21st century comfort.

We provide a fully furnished kitchen, a charming dining room, and a separate eating area with seating for 20. Moving further into the house your guest will enjoy three separate parlors decorated with period furniture and comfortable seating. A sun porch, adjacent to the kitchen, is the ideal place for reception serving or can be used for additional seating. For those who desire a brief respite from the crowd, our front porch invites them to kick their feet up in one of our rocking chairs.

Yes, Rowan Oaks is wheelchair accessible.
Full access to the house and grounds for the day. And we provide several large tables and 50 white chairs for use on the lawn of patio. For an additional $400 we offer the house the day before the wedding, allowing for rehearsal and setup.
We offer the house and grounds for the entire day, but due to a covenant with an adjoining community the house should be vacated by 10:00 p.m.
The $200 deposit is non-refundable. Otherwise there are no policy regarding cancellation.
Rowan Oaks is located 17 miles east of Birmingham's international airport.
Insurance is required if alcohol is to be served. We will provide details and assistance in making the purchase of this insurance.
