South Formal Garden

Host a gradiose ceremony or reception in our largest formal garden.

The South Formal Garden was renovated in the early 2000's, the garden is capped by the Villa on one side and the "Summer House" on the other. Six arched niches with benches and power access make for a beautiful and versatile space.

Philbrook as a venue was the perfect setting for our wedding! I could not imagine a more beautiful venue! More than just the aesthetics, our wedding day was a dream come true thanks to the very attentive and hardworking events team! The team did a great job communicating expectations for our wedding day, not only with my husband (then fiancé) and me, but also with our whole team of vendors! I never felt unsure about any of our day-of details! They were very accommodating and encouraging about all of our reception ideas! I chose an unconventional dinner seating layout and the events team at Philbrook went above and beyond to ensure the vision was carried out! Thanks to Philbrook and the events team, our event ran smoothly and our wedding day was gorgeous beyond my wildest dreams!

Yes, we offer complimentary self-parking.

Yes, all our facilities are wheelchair accessible. We also have ramps at the main and side entrances, hearing-impaired fire alarm lights, and trained staff. We offer accommodations for transportation throughout the gardens for guests in need.

Our Wedding Reception packages include a 5-hour event time. Ceremony only packages include a 2-hour event time.

We have an amazing list of our favorite local caterers to choose from. You are required to select a caterer for the provided list. Limited exceptions will be considered for events with unique cultural, ethnic, or religious requirements.

Please reach out to our Venue Sales Manager with your requested date and estimated guest count. We are happy to place a hold on a date for 3 days. To secure a date, Philbrook must receive a signed contract and the event rental deposit. Inquiry or hold does not guarantee a reservation.

All weddings are required to have a wedding planner with a minimum 3-month package. Day-of coordinators are not permitted. A wedding planner contract is required in addition to the facility rental contract,

Our peak time is Saturdays. We do not have pricing variants per season.

Our off-peak time is Sunday-Thursday. We do not have pricing variants for the seasons.

Booking fees for our facilities, and all payments made including deposits, are non-refundable. If you cancel your event within 30 days of your booked date, we’ll bill you the full amount of all estimated charges.
