For nearly 150 years, First Congregational Church (FCC) has stood in Montclair, New Jersey for progressive values and a warm welcome to all. We are a church that was founded on the notion of open doors and extravagant welcome, and we are honored to extend that welcome to you and your guests on your wedding day. We proudly welcome interfaith, unaffiliated, and same-gender couples, or anyone else who might be seeking a venue which offers a combination of traditional and out-of-the ordinary. Your unique ceremony is truly welcome here.

Sanctuary

From large weddings of 450 guests or more, to intimate gatherings of 25 or less, our Sanctuary provides a beautiful and spiritual space for ceremonies of all sizes. You may choose to be wed on the main chancel (front altar) area, or the unique labyrinth on the wood floor in front of it. Our Sanctuary features a dramatic cathedral length aisle, stained glass and detailed original oak woodwork. Our unique, handmade white wedding banners add a one-of-a-kind air of joy and festivity to this historic space.

    The sanctuary is stunning. It is hands down the prettiest church in the area. Everyone was so blown away by how regal and special this place is. There are so many beautiful details that just added to how special the ceremony was. There is also AMPLE space as the sanctuary is very large.
