Our newly-renovated Banquet Hall is one of the largest and most elegant banquet halls in Mankato.

The Banquet Hall is a spacious room featuring high ceilings and is located adjacent to the Reception Hall, which provides the perfect flow from your ceremony or social hour to your dinner or reception.

Ellerbe Room

Mankato's 14th Heritage Preservation Landmark, the Ellerbe Room features original bank vaults, brick architectural accents, and stained glass windows.

The Ellerbe Room, also known as the Reception Hall, is a historic Mankato landmark with a unique design built in the early 1900s. The building was previously the First National Bank and uses Prairie Architecture designs. The Architect Franklin Ellerbe was a colleague of Frank Lloyd Wright and the brick building's architectural features include Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired stained glass windows along with original bank vaults.

This space can accommodate up to 2,000 people theater-style, and up to 1,000 people with rounds. The Grand Hall also features 2 lobbies perfect for pre-function, registration, or social hour space.

No, all of the food & beverages must be ordered from our facility and on-site caterer.
Yes, there are two parking ramps attached to the building. Daily parking is $3.00 Monday – Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The ramps are free after 5 p.m. during the week and free on Saturday and Sunday. Detailed parking information can be found here.

You are responsible for cleaning up and taking any items/decoration you bring into the facility. The MCHS Event Center, City of Mankato, and all staff are not responsible for any items left overnight and cannot guarantee they will not be thrown away when the housekeeping staff cleans up. Our staff will take care of clearing the tables, emptying the trash, and taking down the tables, chairs, etc.
Events must be completed by midnight.
The Mayo Clinic Health System Event Center typically books events no more than 1 year from the day of your event.
Yes. Our caterer offers vegetarian and gluten free options. Please contact Najwa at Najwa's Catering for detailed information on specific meal requests.
You may start as early as you’d like the day of your event, we just need to know in advance what time you’d like to come in so we have staff scheduled to be there to help. Set up prior to the day of your event is negotiable with Mayo Clinic Health System Event Center staff.
Everything must be removed from the MCHS Event Center the night of your event. Questions regarding rental item pick-up can be negotiated with MCHS Event Center staff.
The MCHS Event Center does not have sleeping rooms. However, the Hilton Garden Inn and Mankato City Center Hotel are both attached to the MCHS Event Center via skyway.
Yes, we accept all major credit cards and cash.
Yes, facility tours are available and can be scheduled by contacting MCHS Event Center staff.
Yes, you can have either one. Some staging, lighting, and sound are also available at the MCHS Event Center. Please contact staff for more detailed information.
Menu selection, A/V equipment information, and event details are required to be finalized 10 business days prior to the event.
The MCHS Event Center typically leaves the dance floor up all night and we do not set tables on top of the dance floor.
