About this venue
Goodtree Farmstead is an elegant and rustic Minnesota farm event and wedding venue in Northfield, just a short drive from the Twin Cities. Located in rural Northfield, we are a few minutes outside of the quaint downtown area, but also a 15 minute drive from Lakeville or 40 minute drive from downtown Minneapolis or Saint Paul. We are a 14 acre former dairy farm nestled in a wooded area surrounded by green farmland and our very own pond and wandering creek. Our red barn--built in 1897 with soaring ceilings and stunning pegged beams, and the other farm out-buildings have all the charm you need to make your farm wedding or special event dreams come true.

With an upper barn that seats up to 100 guests and beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces, Goodtree Farmstead offers a charming setting for your wedding. Exchange vows beneath our weeping willow, beside the birch-lined pond, or overlooking the barn. Our restored lower barn, known as The Parlour, provides a unique indoor ceremony and reception space full of rustic character and historic charm.

My Daughter's Wedding
My daughter was married at Goodtree Farmstead a few years ago. We had our ideas and Jen had some ideas also. We coordinated everything and it was a beautiful wedding. Ron and Jen were so accommodating and such gracious hosts. The farm setting itself was amazing with the scenery , pizza oven, outdoor games and so much more. All ages had fun, and to this day, relatives and friends still talk about the great time we all had. I highly recommend Goodtree Farmstead for a wedding or any special occasion. It will be an event you won't forget!

Goodtree Farmstead was an absolute dream venue for our wedding! From our very first interaction, the team there was efficient, friendly, open, and honest - making us feel right at home. Jenn, the owner, is a true pro and helped us with all of our custom requests, offering great decor ideas and suggestions that made our day feel so cozy, peaceful, and comfortable. The natural beauty of the farmstead provided the perfect backdrop, creating a dreamy and intimate atmosphere that our guests are still raving about. We couldn't have asked for a better experience, and we highly recommend Goodtree Farmstead to any couple looking for a truly special wedding venue.

Kindness and flexibility; the BEST wedding spot!
Goodtree Farmstead's owner, Jenn, was kind, warm, collaborative, flexible, and nothing short of wonderful from our first phone call! This location was beautiful, intimate, and perfectly set up to host our small wedding of 50 people. The pond and barn are picturesque and the farmhouse a perfect spot for getting ready. Jenn was communicative and worked with us to iron out every detail leading up to and on the day of the event. She was accommodating and easygoing through it all, which put us at ease so we could focus on making memories. We are thrilled to have had our wedding at Goodtree Farmstead and wish we could relive the day there!

Wonderful Wedding Location
Goodtree Farmstead gave us the most beautiful wedding. The venue was wonderful and they were so responsive and accommodating in the planning process. It’s the perfect location for a ceremony and reception, with plenty of space for guests to play, eat, and roam around throughout the day. The farm at night, with all the lights, created a great atmosphere for drinks and dancing. The backdrop of the trees, and the barn, and water made beautiful wedding pictures. I cannot recommend this venue and team enough for your event!
