For over 130 years, the elegant turret of Danes Hall in Waupaca has been a beacon of hospitality and history. Inside its brightly illuminated windows, six generations have gathered to celebrate life’s milestones. To honor its history, the Danes Hall has been fully restored and was reopened as an event venue in 2019. The building's architecture and artwork tell the stories of young Danish immigrants whose dreams were rooted in the American frontier. The grand ballroom echoes the joyous celebrations of three centuries. Danes Hall is a place where hospitality and history come together to create memories that will last a lifetime.

Danes Hall of Waupaca was the perfect venue for our wedding of around 115 guests. From the moment we reached out, the staff were prompt, friendly, and communicative, making the planning process a breeze. The venue itself is gorgeous and historic, providing the ideal backdrop for our special day. They supplied all the table linens and were able to quickly turn over the ballroom between dinner and dancing, ensuring a seamless flow to the evening. Aimee was available to answer any questions we had along the way, and we couldn't be happier with the exceptional value and quality of service they provided. We highly recommend Danes Hall of Waupaca to any couple looking for a beautiful, historic, and well-equipped wedding venue.

September and October

Our busiest months are September and October, but we do weddings all year long at the same rate.

No. We hold a liquor license which requires us to provide and serve all alcohol. We do not have any drink minimums and offer the right service to fit your budget and style. Our rate includes two bartenders.

No. People didn't drive in 1894, so we do not have our own parking lot. There are 135 fee free parking spots within one block of our building.

Yes, our building is wheelchair accessible. There is a ramp for guests to enter the building from our 3 handicap parking spots. Once inside, we have an elevator that goes to 3 levels. We also have 4 accessible restrooms.

Your reservation includes 10 hours. Any additional time will be billed at $200 per hour.

Use of all 3 levels of the building and outdoor plaza, private dressing room, set up, take down, tables, chairs, linens, up to 2 bartenders, 2 event staff, use of 1896 Steinway and Sons piano (by a trained pianist), BluTooth speaker, wireless mics, building sound system, custom color wall lighting, use of Smart TV in the bar area, self serve coffee and water, cooler and ice.

Cancellations are allowed up to 90 prior to the event. The security deposit will be kept by the Danes Hall. Per our rental agreement, clients are allow to change their date once without penalty, but will be charged the difference if our rates have increased.

Our building is located less than 40 miles Appleton International Airport via Hwy 10 and about 50 miles from Austin Straubel Airport in Green Bay via Hwy 54. To get to and from area airports guests will need to use a car, since public transportation is not available.

No, that is not required to rent the Danes Hall of Waupaca.
