About this venue

Circle S Ranch is a family-owned and operated business tucked away in the beautiful rolling hills 20 minutes north of Lawrence, Kansas. You have the choice of two ceremony locations: our wedding garden surrounded by oak trees, or our restored barn chapel. The Party Barn reception space holds 200+ wedding guests that can dance the night away. Our 12-room Inn is perfect for couples who would like to make their wedding a weekend experience for their wedding party and families. The Great Room is ideal for smaller wedding of 60 people or less. One of the most important things about your wedding day is that it reflects YOU, and we pride ourselves with the flexibility it takes to create a one-of-a-kind day for you and your loved ones. We want your wedding story to come up in conversations for years to come!

The Chapel

The perfect space to showcase rustic Ranch charm.

This horse barn-turned Chapel features original barn wood, wood slab seating, and a beautiful vaulted ceiling with drapery and a chandelier. The Chapel is next to the Party Barn and perfect for guests who prefer and indoor ceremony or as a back-up location for rainy weekends.

The Great Room

Our favorite room in the Inn!

This space features a double fireplace with large mantle, grand staircase, vaulted ceiling, and large windows surrounding the space. The Great Room leads to a large porch and patio that is great for a cocktail hour or additional seating. The space can be used for a small ceremony or reception, bridal showers, or as the breakfast area for overnight wedding guests.

Description

This full weekend (or weekday) package includes the entire Inn (12 rooms plus Great Room) for your ceremony, reception, and overnight guests. This packages is for intimate ceremonies of 60 or less in the winter months of December - February.

    All-Inclusive Wedding Venue

    Circle S is a great place to get married. They are experts and truly want your day to go perfectly. They go above and beyond to make things go seamlessly. They make sure to not stress you out. Wonderful experience!

We do allow wedding couples to bring their own alcohol for the rehearsal dinner but Circle S Ranch provides the alcohol for the wedding reception.
Yes, we have plenty of on-site parking in our parking lot, along the driveway, and overflow parking in the grass next to the parking lot.
Yes, our facilities are wheelchair accessible. The Postrock Room on the first floor is accessible for overnight guests. We have side-by-side vehicle to transport guests to the ceremony and reception sites, or guests are welcome to drive their own accessible vehicles to those locations.
The rental fee includes set up, clean up, tables and chairs for up to 200 guests. The use of Circle S catering also includes flatware, plates, water glasses, and linens for up to 200 guests.
Reception and ceremony packages include the venues for 10-12 hours; the full weekend packages includes the venues from 12pm on the day of your rehearsal to 11am the day after your reception (ex. Friday at noon to Sunday at 11am).
Booking fees for our facilities, and all payments made including deposits, are non-refundable.
Circle S Ranch is located approximately 45 minutes from the Kansas City Airport (MCI). It is an easy drive to Lawrence using interstate highways, then 20 minutes north of Lawrence.
We highly recommend liability and cancellation insurance for unexpected damage to the property or wedding cancellation. Couples may decline insurance but bear responsibility for any damages caused by wedding guests.
We do allow outside catering with a $500 refundable deposit and a signed caterer agreement. This is to protect Circle S Ranch in the event that the outside caterer needs to use our equipment or staff. The use of our catering services includes table settings for up to 200 people; outside caterers must bring in their own table settings, linens, buffet service, and staff to clean-up and bus tables.
