About this venue

Blue Tin Ranch is a fifth-generation family farm turned wedding venue on ten acres outside Burbank, South Dakota, 25 minutes from Sioux City, ten from Vermillion, and an hour from Sioux Falls. We host one wedding a weekend. The entire property is yours from Friday at noon to Sunday at noon, so you can set up without rushing, hold your rehearsal here, and pack up Sunday morning with nobody waiting on you. The 605 Barn, finished in 2026, holds 90 inside with 90 more on the covered patio. Add the pavilion, the front lawn, and a gazebo built for watching the sun go down, and we seat up to 220 guests. Tables and chairs are included. Eighteen of your people can sleep on the property in the guest house, the chicken coop, and the upstairs apartment. Outside catering is welcome and we don't require a preferred vendor list. It's your wedding, your way.

The 605 Barn went up in 2026 It seats 90 inside. Throw the sliding doors open and it holds up to 180, with the room spilling out onto the patio. There's room for 12 tables. There are outlets everywhere, which your DJ and your photographer will appreciate more than you will. And there's a grain bin bar just outside. Ceremony, dinner, dancing, or all three. It's up to you.

    BlueTin Ranch is such a beautiful event venue! The family that runs it is so sweet and accommodating, and you can tell they really care about the little details. The barn is gorgeous, the pavilion looks so pretty at night with the twinkle lights, and the sunset views are stunning. Such a lovely place for a wedding!

It's our newest building, finished in 2026, replacing the 1909 barn we lost to a storm. It holds 90 people inside and 90 more on the covered patio, with room for 12 tables and big sliding doors on the east side that open the whole building to the sky.
