About this venue

Black Walnut Grove Estate is located on a historic family farm in West College Corner, Indiana just a few minutes west of Oxford, Ohio. This beautiful country estate features a historic 19th-century farmhouse, a rustic timber frame, post and beam constructed barn with hand-hewn wood throughout, and a mid-century two-bedroom guest cabin. Although the house and barn are no longer part of a functioning farm, the current owner has transformed the 11-acre grounds into a cozy and elegant venue, complete with plenty of vintages and rustic charm, for weddings and other events.

The Farmhouse

The bridal ready room in the main farmhouse is large and spacious with beautiful decor. It can accommodate several hair and make-up station areas. Also available for use is a lovely 1960s two-bedroom cabin complete with modern amenities and conveniently located just steps away from the barn.

THE GROUNDS

The large grounds offer a beautiful setting for your outdoor ceremony and reception with mature trees, a pond and rustic split-rail fence, fountains, a tree swing, and much more! A large white arch and 4 white church pews are available to turn this area into a picture-perfect backdrop for your special day.

The Barn

The picturesque antique barn features concrete floors, 2 stunning farmhouse chandeliers, strings of twinkling Edison lights, a large bar, and a large covered back porch overlooking the grounds.

Yes. Our requirement is that you have a licensed bartender to serve the alcohol.
Yes, we have a parking field that is a short walk to the ceremony site and the barn. A golf cart shuttle is available for guests who need assistance or any other guests who would prefer to ride rather than walk.
Yes, the barn is wheelchair accessible. We also have a golf cart available for transportation around the property if needed.
Yes, we require an event liability policy.
We have several packages that include different lengths of time. Our most popular package includes Friday from noon to 9 PM, Saturday 9 AM - 11 PM, and Sunday 8 AM to 12 PM for clean up. The majority of our couples book this package.
Set up of tables/chairs in the barn, chairs and set up at the ceremony site, coordination of tent/chair rentals if needed, restrooms, bridal suite, groom's cottage, overnight guest accommodation in groom's cottage.
May through October
We typically do not host events from November to April as the barn is not heated; however, we can accommodate events within the last couple of weeks of April or the first couple of weeks in November if desired.
We require a 50% deposit at the time of booking which is nonrefundable. If you cancel your event within 119 days of your booked date, we will bill you for the entire barn rental fee.
