About this venue

In 2014, the Appaloosa Grill unveiled a 1,200-square-foot event and meeting space unlike any other in Denver’s Downtown Business District. In 2019, the Wright Room was expanded to 3,300 square feet, making it Denver’s premier gathering space for events and meetings of all types. The Wright Room is on the second story of the nine-story Denver Masonic Building. Erected in 1889, this historic structure was once a jewel in the crown of brewpub pioneer turned Colorado Governor John W. Hickenlooper. This particular mall crossing honors one of Denver’s founding fathers, Norton W. Welton. These mens’ shared middle name, Wright, was chosen as the Wright Room’s moniker.

We are the absolute unicorn for Downtown Denver weddings.

This space is 3,300sf combining our Observatory (cozy room) and Overlook (larger room). totally modular the room can be used in a multitude of ways depending on your needs. Contains two full service permanent bars, floor to ceiling windows, high ceilings, custom leather, repurposed hardwood tables and 100% private with additional space outside the room in the interior atrium.

Only wine can be legally brought on premises in Colorado. We charge $20/bottle corkage fee for the first three bottles & $40 for each additional.
We are fortunate enough to be across the street from the Denver Pavilions which subsidizes parking to the public. $7 - to park M-F Evnings (after 5pm) $7 - to park all day on weekends We can also procure $5 pre paid parking passes (minimum 20) for clients if they would like to pay for their guests parking.
Yes, all our facilities are wheelchair accessible.
Set up, clean up, tables, chairs, china, flatware, glassware, napkins, staff & basic A/V. - Basic A/V = single hand held wireless mic & use of projector/screen
Your reservation includes four (4) hours of event time plus 30 minutes of set up & 30 minutes of breakdown time. Additional event time is $150 per hour ($300 Combined Suite) Additional set up time is $75 per hour
Deposits range from $250 - $1500 ($3000 holiday season) - 50% Refundable From Day 1 - Cancelation inside 60 days forfeits deposit - Cancelation inside 14 days client may be charged for entire proposal amount. - Client may move date one time within one year of original date without penalty as long as it is outside 60 days.
No, our venue is fully insured.
30 minutes by car share service to downtown from Denver International Airport. You may also take the "A-line" express train to Union Station. Then board the free 16th St. Mall Shuttle 10 blocks to Welton St.
