Romantic Gardens

The Romantic Gardens is magical in the warm months with gorgeous waterfall views, large arborvitae trees and fragrant rose blooms.

This European-inspired garden is surrounded by beautiful roses, stunning architecture and classic charm! This space can accommodate up to 250 guests seated and features two lovely gazebos. This garden also allows for private access to the Ellipse garden, which features the sculpture Colorado by artist Dale Chihuly.

Annuals Garden and Pavilion

The Annuals Garden and Pavilion is an incredibly vibrant site with water features and an abundance of stunning North American flowers.

This space features a beautiful pavilion that provides ample shade on sunny Colorado days. This large, versatile site is perfect for any outdoor event.

Woodland Mosaic and Solarium

The Woodland Mosaic garden features a picturesque glass solarium.

It’s nestled like a “secret garden,” surrounded by stunning retaining wall gardens, trees and flowers. It also features a complimentary lounge area and patio.

Orangery

Reminiscent of Renaissance European greenhouses, the Orangery showcases year-round color with exotic plants and gorgeous citrus trees.

UMB Bank Amphitheater Tent

UMB Bank Amphitheater is one of our largest tented outdoor rental spaces.

This site sits atop a large cement pad and has side panels that can be pulled back to let warm air in or closed to keep chilly air out. A canopy of twinkle lights creates a magical evening display for any event.

Water Garden Gazebo

This picturesque space is surrounded by the stunning Monet Pool, filled with aquatic plants and waterlilies.

Mitchell Hall

Mitchell Hall is the Gardens' largest and most versatile indoor space.

Colored lights illuminate the domed sculptured ceiling and large wooden doors open onto a beautiful balcony overlooking the Sensory Garden. Built-in AV capabilities and a large stage make this space perfect for any event.

Marnie's Pavilion

Marnie's Pavilion features a beautiful, two-story waterfall and an abundance of orchids, ferns, and other tropical plants

This unique space has a mezzanine and floor-to-ceiling windows that look out on the Gardens. Large indoor windows offer a peek into the Gardens' greenhouses.

The West Terrace is a tented space that overlooks Monet Pool.

Welcome Garden

This beautiful space is the perfect addition to your special event.

Filled with colorful pots and calming water features, it gives you the option to have your own private entrance to the Gardens. This is a great space to set up a check-in table, photo booth or to serve light refreshments. Combine this space with the Romantic Gardens for a lovely cocktail hour before or after your ceremony.

    We worked with Kyle Carr-Patrick! He made the planning of our wedding so seamless and made sure all our questions were answered. We loved having our wedding at the gardens! Our guest were constantly complimenting our venue and I am beyond excited to get our pictures back. The gardens made our wedding one to remember and the price to rent could not be beat. Thank you so much for making my day magical!

    Beautiful Denver wedding - and a great team

    We just used them for the ceremony, but wow! The Denver Botanic Gardens was a dream ceremony venue - there really isn't a more beautiful backdrop in the city for a wedding (it was important for us to truly have a Denver wedding - so it's rare to have anything quite as nice!). We loved our pick of the Romantic Gardens as we felt we didn't have to spruce it up too much at all - and it really did work out like that! But what made the experience was the team behind it, and specifically Russ. He was organized, clear, and consistently made sure we had everything we needed to feel prepared heading into the day as well as acted as the main point of contact throughout the day of. The venue handles a lot of events (clear in/out times, we had a mini touch up room, and they shut down way more space than we thought they would for us so we didn't really run into the public or regular garden-goers at all - we truly had an awesome corner of the gardens all to ourselves!) and you can tell they've really figured out how to make couples feel taken care of throughout the whole process. So glad we chose it and highly recommend to all!

    Kyle did great!

    Kyle was a great help in making sure everything venue side was handled well and coordinated with our planner and catering to make sure there were no hiccups. Our guests also had a fantastic time exploring the gardens and there was no other location I could ever imagine marrying my wife, than in the Solarium.

    Gorgeous Venue

    We had our wedding at the Woodland Mosaic in June 2026. Kyle Carr-Patrick was SO helpful and kind, he answered all of our questions and went above and beyond to help us have a wonderful, stress free day! The venue was gorgeous and exceeded our expectations, truly magical!

    Amazing Venue

    We worked with Kyle Carr-Patrick to book the venue. He was kind and professional. Our daughter's church wedding started at 2:00, and we had to be there at 12:30. The Botanic Garden has a policy that did not allow us to decorate the venue ourselves, since no one was allowed into the venue until 1:00 pm, including the catering, so we had to hire others to do it for us. Kyle recommended Serendipity, who assigned their Senior Event Coordinator, Marley to our event. She was fantastic! Kyle also let us drop off some things a bit before 1:00, which really helped us out. The venue itself is beautiful, and I feel we got what we paid for. We appreciated Kyle and Marley's willingness to work with us and make our daughter's day special.

Limited free parking is available in our parking complex between York and Josephine streets during our regular hours of operation. Parking in the parking complex is only for Gardens' visitors. Street parking is available in Cheesman Park or Congress Park, where posted.
Most of our indoor and outdoor gardens and facilities, including restrooms and classrooms, are wheelchair accessible. Some areas in the Gardens are not wheelchair accessible without assistance. Please check with the staff in the Bonfils­-Stanton Visitor Center if you need clarification on accessible routes.

The November through April season offers a quieter, more intimate atmosphere, with beautiful indoor spaces and unique seasonal backdrops throughout the Gardens. Even during off-peak months, our pricing does not change, giving couples the freedom to plan without worrying about fluctuating venue costs.
Our most popular wedding months at the York Street location typically fall between May and October, when the Gardens are in full bloom and outdoor spaces are at their most vibrant. While these months book quickly, our venue pricing remains the same year-round, so couples can choose their date based on what feels right rather than seasonal rate changes.
Yes. Couples are welcome to provide their own alcohol for events at our York Street location. Denver Botanic Gardens does not hold a liquor license, and there are no additional fees for bringing or serving alcohol. Licensed bartenders are required, and our team is happy to share guidelines to ensure service is smooth and compliant.
