About Coordinated by Tess

Coordinated by Tess

Head Coordinator

Congratulations on your engagement, this is SUCH and exciting time!! My name is Tessa, and I created Coordinated By Tess 3 years ago with one goal - to help couples create a wedding day that feels seamless, unforgettable, and most importantly, stress-free. Wedding Coordination isn't just a job to me, but a true passion that I grew into a successful business. I know first hand how much goes into planning a wedding, and having a coordinator and team thats organized, experienced, and truly cares can make all the difference.

What sets me apart from other Coordinators, is how I start working closely with couples 4-6 months before the wedding, not just a few weeks out. I know that planning a wedding is often a first-time experience, which is why I provide worksheets, templates, and step-by-step guidance to make the planning process organized and actually fun. My goal is to guide you through every step so that when your big day arrives, you know everything will come together effortlessly and exactly how you imagined.

In three words: Calm, Creative, Efficient

A Wonderful Coordinator and a True Partner

From the venue's perspective, Tess is always a pleasure to work with. She communicates clearly, stays organized, and works seamlessly with our team to ensure every event runs smoothly. She's professional and handles any last-minute changes with grace and flexibility. On a personal note, Tess and I have worked together on several weddings now, and it's been so fun to watch our partnership grow. From our very first wedding together—where it poured rain all day—to the weddings we have on the calendar together, she has consistently brought a positive attitude and calm presence. She's not only an excellent coordinator but also someone I genuinely enjoy working alongside. I look forward to the next event we get to do together and would highly recommend her to any couple looking for a coordinator they can trust.

    BEAUTIFUL

Tessa made visions I didn’t even know I had come to life. She was such a joy throughout the entire process of planning and I can’t even tell you how much stress she took off my plate. I’m a control freak to the max and she took the reins day of and seriously made visions I didn’t even know I had come to life and the day was BEAUTIFUL. Thank you so much!!

    Incredible!!

I cannot recommend Tessa enough for coordinating your wedding - she is incredible!! She was able to help our party manage so many moving parts and little details, all while being incredibly caring, compassionate, aware and sensitive of all the different concerns and dynamics that go into planning a wedding. She was a tremendous help in lessening stress leading up to the big day and allowed our bride and groom to focus on what mattered. We couldn’t have made it through the weekend nearly as smoothly without her expertise and guidance. Don’t think twice about booking with Tessa, she is the best!

Coordination starts anywhere from 4-6 months prior to your wedding depending on the package you select and the amount of planning needed.
An experienced wedding coordinator will make sure your day runs smoothly by managing timelines, coordinating vendors, overseeing setup, and handling and any last minute issues. My goal is to let you enjoy your wedding without stress while ensuring your wedding goes according to plan. I am there from the beginning to end, checking in with you throughout the night to ensure you are ready for the next event on the timeline. I am the ice-refiller, dress-fluffer, drink-holder, Boutineer-pinner, and everything in between.
Typically around 10am or 11am depending on set up need and venue stipulations. I like to be there as early as possible to ensure everything is set up and ready for the big day.
The size of the team depends on your specific wedding day needs. For most events, I coordinate with 1-2 assistants (at no extra charge to you), depending on the amount of set-up, venue logistics, and guest count. This ensures that everything runs smoothly and your day goes exactly as planned.
YES! Absolutely, as this is one of the most common misconceptions couples have. A venue coordinator is there to manage the venue only, not your vendors, timeline or any decor set-up. A Day-Of coordinator manages your wedding day - aligning vendors, following timelines, set-up of decor and personal details, and solving any problems so you and your family can be fully present and enjoy every moment.
This depends on how much support you will be needing! Typically I like to meet with couples once a month after coordination planning begins, which helps keep everything updated and organized so you're not having to provide all the information at once. I am happy to adjust based on your needs - whether you want ongoing guidance or minimal meetings until we get closer to the wedding day. Either way, I make sure all the details are finalized and nothing is missed.
Yes! I strongly prefer to be present for the rehearsal and help walk the wedding party / family through a full run-through. Its a great icebreaker for everyone to meet, ask questions, and visually see where to be and when. A practice run will help eliminate confusion and questions for you on the day of.
