About Yuri Kriventsoff

Yuri Kriventsoff

Wedding Photographer

I grew up in Eastern Europe — technically Moldova. I have always had a natural eye for photography. In my youth, I often looked out at the landscape and thought of ways to capture its uniqueness and beauty. Eight years ago, I began taking wedding photos as an assistant, and studied under my mentor, a well-known photographer and cinematographer. I learned to take my natural eye and transform that into a journalistic style of photography. Over the last five years, my focus has been on being the best Boston wedding photography. I have documented over 100 weddings and have photographed weddings at churches, parks, and people’s backyard.

I am proud to be a member of the Wedding Photojournalist Association, Professional Photographers of America and Fearless Photographers. Time and time and again clients have praised my photos. I have earned Couples' Choice Award for 2017, 2018, 2020 and my clients have lavished praise, saying the photos capture their wedding’s essence. By not placing limits on myself, I am able to bring minute details into crisp and timeless focus.

Yuri Kriventsoff is your wedding photographer. I book the weddings, edit the photos, respond to inquiries, and design your Wedding Photo-Books.
Mixed creative style of artistic and photojournalism photography.
I try not to interfere, my presence at your wedding will remain unobtrusive, enabling me to capture individual and candid moments. I don’t pose couple unless it’s during the engagement session or formals. You’ll never see me interrupting the first dance to ask for you to dip one more time.
I've been capturing smiles since 2009.
Absolutely. Just ask.
Time to arrive, and addresses for where to start, the ceremony location, and reception location.
If I haven’t worked at your wedding site before, I usually arrive at least 30-45 minutes early to check it out.
I usually work alone unless a wedding is very large (250 guests or more). In that case a second photographer should be added.
I shoot primarily with digital cameras. I try not to use off camera lights, unless it is absolutely needed, natural light is always the way to go.
Black and white photos you’ll see from me are converted in Photoshop and Lightroom.
Yes. Every photo that is delivered will be adjusted for contract, exposure, highlights, white balance, etc.
On average, I’ll take about 2000 photos on an 8 hour day. Of those I deliver around 400-500 highest resolution retouched photos. If you’d like a copy of all the others, just ask (those however will not be touched up.)
The photos will be ready in about 2-4 weeks after the wedding date.
Always. I shoot with 1-2 cameras at all times, and keep backups in the car.
I belong to a couple of professional photography networks, and in the event that I can’t make it, I'll arrange to have someone there who is a professional shooter of equal expertise. If I know a few weeks or days in advance, I’ll consult with you to make sure that you’re satisfied with the substitute. I’ve never had this happen before however!
Let me know and, if not previously booked, I’d be happy to change the date.
