The Getaway Bar is a family-owned mobile bar centered around a charming vintage Italian tap truck. We roll into weddings and celebrations across New England serving craft cocktails, beer, wine, and mocktails—with style and personality to spare. More than just a bar, we’re a gathering spot, photo backdrop, and conversation starter. We work seamlessly with your venue and vendors, handling the details so you can focus on celebrating your people and your love.

Our little Italian tap truck brings big personality. It’s compact, beautifully restored, and designed to feel fun, elevated, and effortlessly cool. We operate as a dry-hire bar, giving you flexibility and control over your alcohol choices and budget. No pressure, no cookie-cutter packages—just thoughtful planning, clear pricing, and a bar experience that feels like it belongs at your wedding. Memorable, stylish, and genuinely easy to work with.

    Not just a bar, an experience

    I have to RAVE about The Getaway Bar -- they served themed custom cocktails, an absolutely stunning setup, and impeccable service from start to finish. The mobile bar was not just a drink station, it was an experience.

Yes! At just under 5 feet wide, The Getaway Bar will fit through most double doorways! And it’s fully electric, so no need to worry about fumes.
Yes! You name it, we can probably tap it! Beer, wine, bubbly, cocktails, mocktails, dirty sodas, cold brew, lemonade. (Just nothing hot.)
The Getaway Bar is a “dry hire” bar. It’s not because we don’t love a good cocktail (trust us, we do). But in most states today—including Massachusetts—mobile bars and bartenders can’t get a liquor license unless they: A) Have a catering license (cooking is not our jam) or B) have a brick-and-mortar home (our little Piaggio isn’t looking to settle down anytime soon!). The upside? You avoid inflated bar markups and get to keep the leftovers. Oh, and don’t stress about the details—we’ll guide you on exactly what and how much to buy so your taps don’t run dry and your guests don’t go thirsty.
We love it when our Piaggio Ape is personalized to match your brand or your vision. We work with a variety of vendors, but we’re also happy to work with yours.

Yes! Our TiPS certified bartenders will help design your signature cocktails and mocktails, pre-batch them, keg them, and serve them!
Unfortunately those pesky legalities prohibit us from selling alcohol in any way, shape, or form — even if it’s just to collect money on your behalf.
Yes! We hold General Liability, Liquor Liability and Commercial Auto insurance.
We require access to a 110V outlet within 75 feet of the truck’s parking spot. If your location lacks electricity, let us know and we’ll see if there’s a workaround.
Yes! The Getaway Bar is a fully electric mobile bar and drives kind of like a golf cart with a max speed of about 15mph—so no highway driving for her!
We do not have a liquor license, but we can work within your venue or caterer's license. And our bartenders are all TiPS certified.
We will work with your vendor or caterer to make sure we comply with their liquor license. Often that means that one of their staff members will need to "pull the tap" for any alcoholic drinks, while we do the icing and garnishing and serve all the non-alcoholic drinks.
