We are Mark & Brittany Edman, NJ based wedding team. Mark created “This Insane Idea” with the vision that anything is possible. As your lead shooter, he had a passion for photography his entire life, capturing moments around him in the most authentic ways until one day Brittany told him “go full time”, it was insane. He fell in love with wedding photography and the emotion it brought out for everyone involved. Coming home so happy with unique stories and photos from all over the state, Brittany knew she needed to join him on wedding days. Having a background in hospitality for 20 years Brittany began coordinating the day alongside Mark.
We always joke around and say you can throw a rock and find a good photographer, but what makes us different is that in addition to amazing photos, is an equally great experience. We have an extreme familiarity with exceeding expectations helping plan your wedding from the day you say "I do" to This Insane Idea. We get to know you and your families and ensure everyone feels appreciated on your wedding day.

HIGHLY Recommend!!!
Mark and Brittany are truly exceptional at what they do. My husband and I are not typically in front of a camera, but Mark made us instantly comfortable in a way that allowed him to truly capture the moment between us instead of feeling like models posing for a job. We had a small wedding with no formal wedding planner or runner for the day, but Brittany and Mark helped everything to go smoothly, and we truly couldn’t have done it without them. Beyond all that, the images are truly breathtaking. Mark has an intrinsic ability to scan a space and find the most beautiful piece of it. I have never seen the inside of a train station look so magical! If you choose This Insane Idea for your special day, you will not be disappointed!

From our first inquiry to the end of our wedding night, the team created this relaxed environment that struck a rare and perfect balance between professional and so so fun.
