I found photography in my teens.  Photography became a hobby quickly and eventually my profession.   Lauren, my second photographer, and I have over 1000 weddings behind us.   I don't know what I would do if I wasn't a photographer.  I think I have developer fluid, or these days, ink in my veins. I am a family man, a parent, and a grandparent.  We have 2 dachshunds.  Ruby and Harley. AND I Love my Job!

What sets me or South Street apart? Good question. Lauren and I have been a team for a long time. We work well together. We often don't finish sentences, which our couples find funny. You're getting a dedicated team, not "one of our staff photographers". You book South Street Photography, you get US, John, and Lauren. What else sets us apart? , Look at our work.     If I could give more then five stars!

    John and Lauren were absolutely amazing! We didn’t have to think about a thing when it came to capturing our day. We had guests coming up to us telling us that they wished they knew about South Street for their own wedding! I highly recommend them!

    We met John and Lauren at a wedding expo and didn't even bother looking elsewhere. They have extensive knowledge regarding the use of lighting and creative angles and demonstrate that greatly in their photography. In addition to awesome pictures (for both our engagement and wedding photos), John and Lauren are truly wonderful to work with. My husband and I are not picture people and were very nervous about participating in photoshoots, but they put as at ease immediately and made the whole experience quite enjoyable. I highly recommend South Street to anyone looking to capture their special moments with amazing photos and have a good time while doing it.

    John recently photographed my wedding at Deep Cut Gardens. He was very friendly, flexible, and patient, especially for the large group photos. His finished work is spectacular and was ready for us faster than we expected. He captured the small, intimate moments as well as the large ones. His presence, both with and without his camera, added so much to our day. Thank you very much, John!

    I’ll start by saying John and his team were incredible communicative prior to our big day, which I greatly appreciated. Eased us into the process and set expectations. His team was not only on time, but early, which again I greatly appreciated. They scoped out the venue, had their vision and ensured we had fun during the process. They all had bubbly personalities, made sure we felt at ease and laughed through it all to be able to enjoy the day. (They also tolerated my moments of overwhelm and crankiness with absolute grace) I received the pictures back in less than a week and MY GOODNESS are they BEAUTIFUL!!! I found myself laughing, crying and everything in between. Every moment I had hoped was captured in time, was and so beautifully too. There are not enough words to express my gratitude to John and his entire team. We will cherish and treasure these memories they captured for us forever.

Typically, couples book me about 12 to 18 months before their wedding date. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, even if you’re planning on a shorter time frame.
We are a two photographer team. All included in our pricing.
Definitely. All final images will be edited to ensure they look beautiful. I also offer retouching services like blemish removal and teeth whitening.
No, we prefer focusing on photography only, so you can get the best wedding pictures possible. I can, however, refer you to a videographer we absolutely love.
We don't mess around. We will have your images ready in under two weeks, most time in under one week. Noone can have your images ready faster.
On average 600 to 900 for most of our weddings. This varies due to several factors. Length and denomination of your ceremony. Number of family member, number in your bridal party, amount of time dedicated for photos, circumstances of your reception, weather. These are all things we cannot control.
I do! Just let me know if your venue requires an insurance certificate, and I’ll send that over to them.
In my years of experience as a wedding photographer, I’ve never canceled a booking. In the very rare event that I’m unable to photograph your wedding, I’ll make sure you’re covered by one of my colleagues. Someone I know and trust.
