Hello! I'm Lynne Damiano and I am so excited to connect with you! The moments I love to capture are genuine and simple, and preserve what is happening in the moment. I have a photojournalistic style and edit true to life with vibrant color. I capture the best moments in an unobtrusive way. A few more of my favorite things are hiking with our crazy rescue dogs, traveling with my family, making art with my daughter, and doing anything near or on the ocean (hence my business name!) I look forward to connecting with you and creating memories that you can reflect on for years to come.

My first experience with photography was through a travel course to New Mexico in college. I had an old Pentax Spotmatic and a map of Sante Fe. The professor’s only instructions, “Wander the streets and take photos along the way.” She used the beauty and experience of being in a new city to awaken our curiosity and creativity, and that is where my passion for photography began! I am also a special education teacher and have a background in fine arts. The combination of my passions have molded me into a flexible, creative artist who connects easily with my couples. I strive to make every gallery unique and to truly capture your love story.

    I’ve always been extremely camera shy, and honestly, the idea of being in front of a camera all day was one of the things I was most nervous about for our wedding. But working with Lynne Damiano and Sail Away Photography completely changed that experience for me. From the very beginning, Lynne made my wife and me feel comfortable, relaxed, and truly seen. On a day that can already feel overwhelming, she had this incredible way of helping us settle into the moment and just be ourselves. Instead of feeling posed or staged, we felt completely at ease in our natural beauty and in the love we share. We also had absolutely no experience with photoshoots and didn’t know where to start. Lynne was instrumental in helping us choose beautiful locations that matched our style and worked perfectly with our wedding setting. She even suggested small accessories to elevate the photos—and showed up with a bottle of champagne for us to celebrate with, which was such a thoughtful touch. During the shoot, she was amazing at gently coaching us on how to pose so we looked our best, but it never felt awkward or forced. And while we traveled from spot to spot, she was so easy to talk to that it felt more like spending time with a friend than working with a photographer—which really helped in such an intimate, emotional moment. By the end of the day, what I had been most nervous about became one of the most special and joyful parts of our wedding. I can’t recommend Lynne Damiano and Sail Away Photography highly enough. If you want someone who not only captures beautiful photos but also makes you feel comfortable, confident, and celebrated while doing it, she’s the one.

    I can’t say enough wonderful things about Lynne. Not only were her photos SO beautiful and perfect, but she was a joy to work with . She was organized, professional, and so kind. We hadn’t planned on taking engagement photos but used it as an opportunity to meet her and get comfortable in front of the camera. Our engagement photos were so fun! Lynne made us laugh and brought out such a natural joy in each of the photos. The communication leading up to the wedding was clear and organized. She shared a timeline and checklist, met with us via zoom, and checked in to ensure everyone was on the same page. It brought a lot of ease knowing that she was organized and ready to go. On the wedding day, Lynne was incredible. She led with direction but was kind and flexible. She was professional and fun and added so much to our day. Our families mentioned after the fact how nice and sweet she was. Everyone felt comfortable and had so much fun. We allocated about an hour for first look, family, and couples pictures before the ceremony. It ran smoothly and never felt rushed or chaotic (nor did it feel repetitive or like it dragged on). And of course, the photos themselves are stunning. She captured the mood perfectly. She was SO quick to share sneak peaks and kept them coming. We haven’t even seen the full package and I am obsessed already. I couldn’t wait to write a review. From our festive, fall engagement photos to our moody, dark winter wedding, Lynne matched the vibe to a tee. I would recommend her for any and all of your photo needs!

    Choosing Lynne as our wedding photographer was one of the best decisions we made for our special day! Lynne met with us beforehand to get an idea of what we were looking for in our pictures. We wanted something relaxed and natural that felt like us to capture our backyard wedding, and she delivered! Not only did she make us feel comfortable in front of the camera (something neither of us usually are!), she established a great rapport with our guests throughout the day which made for amazing candid and posed photos of all of our loved ones. We still have family and friends talk about how great she was at our wedding and asking for her contact information to set up their own photo shoots with her.     Lynne navigated the chaos of my wedding day with ease and was a calming, steadying, positive, and efficient presence who kept everyone doing what they needed to do. We had to shift to our rain location (a greenhouse), and she managed a large group of people in a small, humid place seamlessly. She kept the kids entertained when they started to break down, and she even cleaned the bottom of my boots for me, so we could see the “just married” message I wrote on the bottom! She utilized the greenhouse space perfectly, finding the best lighting and spaces to frame our shots. Everyone raved about how beautiful our photos came out!
