Hello. I’m Michayla Slone, a wedding + lifestyle photographer based in St. Louis, MO. I love traveling, my husband, my pup Rosie, and good conversations over coffee. I believe love is the most important thing. It’s what fuels us to our future, keeps us going on the bad days, and travels with us throughout time. My greatest joy is capturing days where love is at the forefront; where two people commit to a life full of passion and adventure. My work is more than just photography. It’s capturing history - your history.

I aspire to create imagery that makes you feel something. I want you to be transported back to a moment in time and remember it ten times greater. I adore grandiose architecture, bright lights, and images full of color and emotion. When I’m photographing my couples, I truly feel at home. I take on the job of friend, helping you feel your best and never having to worry about what to do next. I bustle dresses, fix veils, gather family, all while capturing your greatest memories.

    Easy to Work With & A Lovely Human

    We hired Michayla as our wedding photographer and still can’t fully express how happy we are with her and her work for both our engagement shoot and wedding photography! We are NOT the most natural people to photograph but Michayla helped us feel so natural and at ease both during our engagement shoot and on our wedding day. When doing family pictures she was so on top of it and made it such an efficient process which only made the day better as nobody was grumpy about standing around taking photos forever. We loved how she captured the “in between moments”, they are truly the ones we will cherish the most because we get to remember those fun little details of the day. We also had a second photographer as part of our package who happened to be Michayla’s husband Logan and he was just as easy to work with and only made the experience better! If your wedding is coming up and you need a photographer inquire with Michayla, she is incredible!

    Highly Recommend!

    Hiring Michayla was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made! She is an absolute dream to work with. She is professional, punctual, flexible, kind, and truly loves what she does. She made taking photos so effortless on our part (I’m not photogenic!), and created beautiful art that I am proud to show off! She knows how to capture moments, not just poses, and has a gifted eye for capturing little details too! She is the number one photographer I will always recommend! We’ve had the honor of having her take our engagement photos, wedding photos, pregnancy announcement photos, and maternity and newborn photos! She always goes above and beyond for her clients! Typically, couples book me about 12 months before their wedding date. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, even if you’re planning on a shorter time frame!
Sometimes, I’ll bring one or more assistant photographers depending on the size of your wedding and your selected package.
Yes! All final images will be edited for color, saturation, exposure, and sharpness to ensure they look beautiful.
My turnaround time varies by season. Typically, you’ll be able to view your photos online about 6-8 weeks after your wedding. You will receive a sneak peek within a week of your wedding day!
You can expect an average of 70 images per hour of photographing. But keep in mind this estimate varies depending on your wedding package, number of guests, venue type, and other factors. I don't guarantee a certain number, but every part of your day will be documented and no important photos will be left out!
I’ve never cancelled a booking, but in the very rare event that I’m unable to photograph your wedding, I’ll make sure you’re covered by one of my colleagues or my contracted assistant. All images will be edited and delivered by me!
