Matty Johnson Photography

I was born and raised in south-west Louisiana surrounded by the spectacular marshy (personal information protected by Zola) after graduating high school in 2014, I became a mom to my first little love and moved away to California. My first Christmas in California, I was gifted a very well-loved camera and I was obsessed. I spent weeks online searching high and low for any and all photography related content. During my search, I joined a Facebook group for local photographers. After lurking in the group for a few months, I decided to join in on the monthly photo-walk where I met Isabelle, a 12 year photography business veteran who took me under her wing.

Isabelle taught me everything she knew and I absolutely loved it! From there, our love for photography bloomed into a full on photography operation. After four years of learning, business, and friendship, I decided to close the doors and move home to Louisiana. When I moved home, I put my camera down but I always missed the cheesy smiles, newborn cries, and chaos of a wedding day. Today, I am a full-time family, wedding, and newborn photographer. I have been blessed to capture over 450 families, 200 weddings, and 100 births all over the country. I cannot wait to work with you and your family to make your memories last a lifetime.
