Within my style, this means your wedding photos will be amazing BUT you will also have beautiful candid and natural moments captured that you may not have noticed during your day, and you will only get a view of what I see, which is pure joy and happiness of you both being celebrated on your Big Day! It was an incredible day made all the better with Matao. I feel like it might be hard to find a photographer that *really* picks up on what you're going for and we nailed it with him. He is up for an adventure and the occasional challenge (including cellphone photographer family members, lol)! Matao's wife and assistant Danielle and second photographer Brooke were so lovely and took note of so many maybe otherwise forgotten details, things I wouldn't have even thought of as great pictures. We wanted someone with a deep connection to the city we live in and love, with a great sense of humor, and could roll with the punches and occasional quick change of plans that happen with a wedding, and we truly could not recommend him highly enough. We will treasure our photos forever.

Matao was an incredible photographer for our wedding and engagement shoot. He’s an artist and we loved his photography style but more importantly he is an incredible human. My husband and I are not ones who love to be in front of the camera but he made us feel so comfortable and took amazing photos that we can look back on forever.

From our first interaction with Matao and his wife, we knew they were the perfect photographers for our wedding day. Their communication style was genuine, intentional, timely, and clear - they made sure to get to know us as a couple and understand our vision for the day. The quality of their work was truly editorial, innovative, and original, with a clean and fun aesthetic that captured all the special moments. On the day of the wedding, they made us feel like the center of attention, putting us at ease with their relaxed and personable approach. Matao and his wife even gave us a mini photo shoot at the hotel before the ceremony, setting the tone for an incredible day.
