Welcome. I appreciate that you are interested in learning more about me!! My name is Mary Claire (and yes, it's both names, sorry), but plenty of people just call me MC. I have been photographing weddings southern California over a decade now. I grew up in Orange County, went to CSUF to study photojournalism, and have been based out of Long Beach for the past five years, where I live with my handsome fiance and our adorable Golden Retriever, Theodore!

I love art, and I love people, so becoming a visual journalist was really the only option for me. It makes a lot of sense, after all. I harbor a relentless desire to photograph faces, stories, and lives, as they are, in the moment. I am obsessed with capturing and preserving the perfectly imperfect essence of humans, in all their flawed, authentic glory, not to neatly summarize them in a series of pretty pictures, but to continue to do my part in helping to build upon and add to these stories. That is the greatest thing about human beings after all; we are never finished.

    Absolutely Amazing Wedding Photographer!

    I’ve known Mary Claire since I was 15, back when we used to take photos together just for fun. Over the past 15 years, I’ve watched her grow into the incredible photographer she is today and I knew without a doubt that I had to have her capture our wedding day. Mary Claire is truly gifted. She has a natural ability to make anyone feel relaxed and comfortable in front of the camera, and her eye for detail is unmatched. Her editing is beautiful, timeless, and made every single photo look absolutely perfect. I am beyond happy with our photos, they are everything I dreamed of and more. I would recommend Mary Claire to absolutely anyone looking for a talented, kind, and exceptional photographer.

Typically, couples book me anywhere between 8-15 months before their wedding date, depending on the season. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, even if you’re planning on a shorter time frame!
We do not offer in-house videography services, but we are happy to recommend our favorite teams to work with!
