About Leah Daugherty Photography LLC

Leah Daugherty Photography LLC

Wedding + Portrait Photographer

Hello! I am Leah and I am so glad you found my corner of the internet. I am a follower of Jesus, wife to Nic, mother to two silly little girls, EvaJean and Hattie Leigh, and full time wedding/portrait photographer. (Also CatMom to Beau, Mazi and Pablo) My business is one of the biggest endeavors I have ever attempted; and is built on a firm foundation of trust and faith in God.

I have had so many wonderful opportunities meeting so many families and couples through this small business. I am so blessed to do what I love so much! When I am not behind the lens, or computer screen, you can catch me trying to organize my little life list by list and a whole lotta Jesus, shopping in second hand stores, learning how to DIY (& often going rogue) on home projects, and spending time with my husband and daughters, friends and family.

As soon as you know you want to hire me! I cannot hold dates, as they are first come, first serve.
First, contact me to make sure I am available. Once we have talked about your event/session, I require a signed contract and a 30% non-refundable retainer. This contract and retainer secures your date on my calendar!
Yes! I am a legal, tax paying business with insurance.
Although not necessary, it is always welcomed! My team and I typically eat while you are eating, mostly because who wants to have photos taken while chewing? It also ensures that we are done eating when you (usually sooner), so we can continue covering your reception without missing a beat.
Yes! All of my wedding collections include 6-10 hours of coverage, if you’d like to extend coverage, ask me about adding additional coverage.
In short, no. I do not release any RAW files under any circumstance. Most consumers do not have the ability to use a RAW file, but mostly because it is not the complete depiction of my work. (and it’s kind of like asking a baker for the ingredients to their cake…) I deliver the best of the best images, and would never hold anything of sentimental value from you. As far as copyright, I retain the copyright to all of the images, however, I do give a print release that allows you to make prints of your images as needed.
I do! I work with a team of women who I have helped train to shoot alongside me on a wedding day. These individuals have been trained to shoot just like me. Usually, this photographer will spend time with the groom and groomsmen, grabbing candids, details, etc.
Sadly, I do not. But! I do have a handful of wonderful videographers that I LOVE working with and will gladly share their information with you.
Your digital gallery is an online album that holds all of the edited images from your day/session. The gallery gives you the option to share, download and order prints from my superb online printer. A USB can always be added to your collection.
I certainly do! With a signed contract outlining the expectations of the client, I do allow payment plans, usually up to 6 months after the wedding date.
My tiny, downtown studio is located in Summerton, South Carolina, 1 N Cantey Street to be exact. I will travel! Most of my weddings are in the Midlands, Pee Dee and Low Country of South Carolina, but I do venture to the Upstate and beyond on occasion. I do charge travel fees to certain locations as well. I follow the IRS standard milage rate ($.56 per mile for 2021) outside of a 30 mile radius from my studio.
Definitely! You have the option to add on any product I offer to your collection. I offer beautiful, archival photographic prints, heirloom albums and custom framed portraits, as well as sturdy wall canvases.
