I'm a true fan of love and honestly love every love story out there! I started my business on the foundation that every couple should be able to showcase their beauty and their love without limits, and that is still true to this day. I've have the privilege of being a part of many weddings in the past four years, and the best part of them all was being able to capture your emotions, those butterflies, the smiles and the tears. Those are the emotions that I strive to capture for your wedding day without ever having to pose you, so you can look back at your photos years from now and feel yourself in that moment again.

We are open to any and all couples, meaning we support you and your partner without limitations or making you feel uncomfortable. We greet every couple with open arms, a hug, and the hugest smile you'll ever see. We also provide you reduced travel fees and will always allow you to make a payment plan that will work for you, not the other way around.

    Affordable but Amazing

    I'll be honest, we we're kinda worried about hiring a photographer for our wedding (especially last minute) and had a huge list of must-haves. On our first call with Kristy she eased our minds and reassured us that our list was typical for a wedding photographer. She helped us with our last minute planning, ensured that she caught our day perfectly and even met us out at the pumpkin patch for some portraits! Her easy-going personally was great, just expected it to be more professional during the wedding (my expectation) but she had our family shot list and literally ran off names of everyone to switch which was great since no one ever paid attention to the photos. She was past her main delivery date, which in her defense was due to other booked weddings before ours and fall sessions butted up after our wedding so her work load was full. I felt that could've been better communicated but she did explain that to us at our engagement session and before she left for the night of our wedding day. All in all I'd say for someone who is very budget friendly and allows you to make payments she's a gem! She will take your list, make another one with you, help plan your day of timeline and keep you relaxed and not feel so high strung during the wedding day. Definitely book her!

    The Best!

    I honestly couldn't ask for a better photographer to come out and take photos for a wedding! We own a small ranch outside of Kalispell, MT and when Kristy got in contact with us about a wedding that she was hired to photograph we had the best conversation. She is so polite and very thorough, ensuring that she covered all of her bases to ensure every single image was captured without going against our rules and policies. She even went as far as providing proof of insurance coverage for her and her second shooter, which not many photographers have these days! All in all we have to say working with Kristy was the best and we have her on our recommended vendors list for our clients.

    Very Pleased With Her

    We had the privilege of being one of Kristy's first weddings and we honestly had no idea what to expect. When we went into our first consultation video (we're located in Mt and had it based out in the Kalispell area so we chose to visit with her via Zoom) we were blown away by her professionalism and understanding of what we needed and expected of her. She helped us find local vendors, that we never thought we'd ever find, and even made a checklist of photos that we wanted her to take along with connecting with our vendors/venues to create a day of timeline to make our day go smoothly. When the day came her and her husband helped us feel relaxed and posed us to look both amazing and natural, something we wanted for our wedding photography. In all honesty we 100% recommend her to anyone looking for a budget friendly, knowledgeable, and professional photographer for their wedding.

    Couldn't Find a Better Photographer!

    We took a huge chance on booking our wedding with Kristy and we were not disappointed! From our first zoom consultation (we're located in SD) we felt accepted by her and just knew that she would make us feel comfortable for our wedding day. In all honesty we recommend her to all our engaged friends and her work really does speak for itself!

Typically, couples book me about 1 year before their wedding date. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, even if you’re planning on a shorter time frame. We are currently open to bookings for 2 years out so connect with us soon!
We currently have a process that we work through for our wedding photos. After uploading, we cull the entirety of the photos we've taken; removing any that are too over or under exposed, not in focus, or are too repetitive of the others once culling is done we hand edit each photo and upload them to your personal online gallery. Typical turnover is 4-6 weeks on non-peak dates and 8-10 weeks on peak dates. All weddings get a 24-48 hour sneak peek gallery release after their wedding date.
Yes and no. This is dependent on the amount of photos that are taken and the amount of weddings that are booked for the month. We try not to use our outside editor unless we need to. Note this is an editor that understands our editing style and will ensure that the photos are cohesive with our current work.
Yes! We always include a complementary second photographer on our 10 and 8 hour packages. We are also open to you hiring on a second photographer or any assistant you feel comfortable with. Most couples choose a couple of their family members to help us the day of. We will never charge you extra for any extra help.
No, I prefer focusing on photography only, so you can get the best wedding pictures possible. But we can certainly get you a list of a few awesome videographers in your area that you can use that we recommend. We are also always open to working with a videographer to help you get the best images and video of your day.
My turnaround time varies by season. Typically, your final gallery is released from 4-6 weeks during non-peak dates and 8-10 weeks during peak dates with the possibility of up to 12 weeks depending on the amount of weddings we have booked.
You can expect about 50 to 100 images per hour of photographing. But keep in mind this estimate varies depending on your wedding package, number of guests, venue type, and other factors.
Yes! We actually have our couples put together a payment plan that will work for them, and not us, so you can feel better knowing that you are staying in your set budget - cause weddings are expensive! We also allow our couples to make their final payment up to two weeks after their wedding date, but this withholds your sneak peek gallery until it's been paid. No photos are ever released until your invoice is paid in full.
Our travel fees are mostly a mileage charge of $0.70/mile; this is a charge for both ways to location and back to our location. We don't charge for a room fee or for food, we do ask to be included in the reception meal (per contract) unless other arrangements have been made.
We base our taxes on your location of your wedding, every location requires a different percentage so we can't give a for sure amount. Requesting a sample invoice from us is your best bet to get a better idea of what we would charge for taxes for your wedding package.
Yes! We are a registered LLC doing business as K Marie Fotography in the state of ND. We are legally allowed to service SD, MN, MT and WY and charge applicable sales/event tax in all areas.
In our four years of booking weddings we have not ever had to cancel. But in the odd event that we do we will contact other photographers who we trust to provide you with exceptional wedding photography. If we are not able to find a photographer available we will provide you with a refund, minus the non refundable deposit, to help you with the cost of booking a new photographer. More details are included in the contract you'll sign to book our services.
