Meet Kathryn: I began my career as a wedding photographer almost 15 years ago, first working for a renowned Bay Area wedding photographer, and then officially opening Kathryn Lewis Photography in 2014. I loved capturing intimate moments, getting (maybe overly) excited about good light, traveling to gorgeous places, and helping set up the perfect timeline and obsessing about the details so clients’ wedding days could be seamless and stress free. Being able to do that for so many amazing clients makes this such a dream. I'd love to meet you!

The word people say in reviews over and over is CALM. I make them feel calm, their families feel calm, the day goes calmly. I take this as such a compliment because it means I've done all you needed in planning so that you can just enjoy your day. We're prepared ahead of time well, and while weather and the world throw us plenty of curveballs, we contingency plan well so your day can feel calm and wonderful.

    From engagement to wedding and beyond

    Kathryn is wonderful! We did our engagement photos with her as well as our wedding photos. She was so easy to work with, never once added to the stress of such an important day and gave us hundreds of beautiful photos. Four years into our marriage and I still have our album bookmarked on my browsers to flip through often. I highly recommend Kathryn for all your photo needs and hope to work with her for every special event in our future. She was flexible, intuitive and never once felt intrusive during our ceremony but managed to capture so many perfect shots.

It totally varies! For bigger weddings, couples typically book over a year, but for elopements it can be a week! I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, and we'll figure out a way to make it happen!
Depends on the size! My husband James is my second shooter, and for anything over 50 guests I make sure he's there, and sometimes he comes along for the adventure on elopements!
Absolutely! All final images will be edited to ensure they look beautiful. I also offer retouching services like blemish removal for an additional charge.
You'll have a sneak peek of a couple images to you within 48 hours, and everything within a month!
I do! Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and I’ll send that over to them.
Covid showed us that crazy things do indeed happen. I'm really flexible and will work with you to make sure everything goes smoothly. In the very rare event that I’m unable to shoot your wedding, I’ll make sure you’re covered by one of my colleagues.
You can expect about 80 to 100 images per hour of shooting!
