About Jay Photography

Jay Nel-McIntosh

Capturing true emotion and candid adventures

I am a passion motivated, trust your intuition, get out and experience, detail driven, happy yogi who loves to take pictures, meet new people and create beautiful authentic memories with my camera. Originally from Canada, a love of travel has taken me around the world in search of new experiences and deeper understanding of our world. I believe the key to understanding a place is through its people. My passion for photography stems from capturing real moments as they unfold and true emotions in those I photograph.

After completing a Bachelor of Visual Media majoring in journalism and ephotojournalism from Griffith University, Australia, I embarked on a career as a photojournalist with a leading Australian newspaper. After 2 years of employment as a newspaper photographer, my travel bug took hold and I set off to explore Central and South America camera in hand. The adventure continued across the USA on the back of a motorcycle until I eventually settled in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Despite being a beach girl at heart, the Teton Mountain Range and lifestyle in Jackson Hole made it instantly feel like home.

    If you’re lucky enough to have Jay available on your special day, book her now before she’s not available. Capturing the essence of your event is one of the most important factors in making it successful and we can assure you that Jay will do so with the utmost care and professionalism. We had very high expectations for our photography, not only because of the natural beauty of the Tetons, but because our entire families would be experiencing our marriage through the photography as we decided on an elopement with just the two of us (and Jay). Not only did she far exceed our lofty expectations but we couldn’t have asked for a better witness to our marriage.
