Hey everyone! It’s me, Emma Dee (short for Donelle, my middle name). I’m a boutique wedding photographer located in Michigan. The photographer life chose me, but I wouldn't have it any other way. On my days off, you can find me snuggling my sweet kitty, online shopping, counting down the days until I put up my Christmas tree. I am a chai lover, who enjoys educating clients and helping them feel at ease during this overwhelming planning process. I am extremely passionate about getting to know each and every one of my clients. This is why I limit the number of weddings I book.

With my background in directing, I know that I can get anyone to feel comfortable in front of my lens. I'm all about making your wedding day feel comfortable and fun. My goal for you is that your wedding day is an unforgettable experience, as it should be.

    The BEST photographer

    Emma Dee Photography was truly exceptional in capturing the magic of our wedding day. Not only is she an incredibly talented photographer, but Emma went above and beyond to make the experience seamless and enjoyable. From helping me get ready by putting on my veil and jewelry, to expertly keeping us on schedule so I didn't have to worry about a thing, they made the photo session a breeze - even in the single-digit temperatures! The resulting photos are absolutely stunning and we are thrilled to have such beautiful keepsakes from our special day.     The BEST!!!

    Wedding photos

    Emma Dee Photography was absolutely amazing for our wedding photography. She has such an open and easy communication style that made planning a breeze. Her photos turned out beautifully - so bright and natural. Emma brought an awesome fun energy on our wedding day and really hyped us up! She knows how to capture the special moments while keeping things relaxed. I'd highly recommend Emma for any couple looking for a photographer who genuinely cares about you having the best day ever. She came totally prepared with anything we could have needed, including chalk for an accidental make up stain! Emma is just awesome at what she does and I’d recommend to anyone!

Typically, couples book me about 13 months before their wedding date. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, even if you’re planning on a shorter time frame.
I have different packages that offer additional photographers! If this is something you're interested in, I highly recommend checking out my packages.
My turnaround time varies by season. Typically, you’ll be able to view your photos online about 5-7 weeks after your wedding. Within this time, you can also expect to receive an online gallery with high-resolution image files, so you can share the photos with your loved ones and order prints.
No, I prefer focusing on photography only, so you can get the best wedding pictures possible.
Definitely. All final images will be edited for color, saturation, exposure, and sharpness to ensure they look beautiful. I also offer retouching services like blemish removal and teeth whitening! More extensive photoshop is available at an additional charge.
I do! Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and I’ll send that over to them.
You can expect about 80 to 100 images per hour of shooting. But keep in mind this estimate varies depending on your wedding package, number of guests, venue type, and especially your timeline!
In my 3 years of experience as a wedding photographer, I’ve never cancelled a booking. In the very rare event that I’m unable to shoot your wedding, I’ll make sure you’re covered by one of my colleagues or my contracted assistant. I still would be the one to edit the photos though so the work is consistent with mine!
All of my packages include complimentary engagement sessions for a reason. It gives me the opportunity to meet my clients and learn important details like what their good side is, what poses they feel most comfortable in, and if there's anything their self-conscious about! No one wants to waste time doing so on their wedding day!
