    A Wedding To Remember

    We feel incredibly lucky to have had Chaplain Mitzi officiate our wedding in Santa Barbara. From our very first video call, it was clear she was the right fit. She vetted us just as much as we vetted her, ensuring a genuine connection from the start. Mitzi is the ultimate professional; she walked us through every detail and was so intentional about incorporating our diverse traditions and backgrounds into the ceremony. Her experience shines through in her energetic and organized approach. She made the entire process feel personal and seamless, from that first meeting to the moment she pronounced us husband and wife.     From the start Mitzi Schwarz was helpful, informative and guided us through exactly what to expect if we chose her to officiate our ceremony. She was calm, kind, and after our first meeting we could tell she had exactly the energy & expertise we were looking for. She really wants to perform a ceremony unique to each couple. She is open and accepting. She provided a detailed questionnaire for each of us to complete independently, to learn more about our love story- how we met, how we felt about our partner when first meeting, when and how we knew they were the one, the proposal and more. She clearly took the time to get to know us in order to perform a thoughtful and beautiful ceremony. Given that we chose to do private vows, this knowledge of who we are and our story was instrumental in a tailored and vivid account. Our family and friends continue to rave about the ceremony. Mitzi also walked us through step by step how to apply for and obtain our marriage license, as well as what to expect with regard to obtaining our certificate afterward. I would highly recommend Mitzi to anyone looking for a true professional that is also just a lovely, down-to-earth person! We are so grateful she was a part of our day.

    Dear Maxine, You and Dorsey are completely the people who come to mind when I ask myself the question: “who are my ‘ideal’ couples?”. You two are such safe havens for one another, and from my life experience, that is a huge part of what constitutes a healthy marriage. I am so honored and happy that I’ve gotten to know you, as I prepared to pronounce you married, by the power vested in me (ok, that’s the ONLY formulaic statement I make from one wedding ceremony to the next!). You were a joy to work with; you were both so open about your feelings for one another. You made it easy to write your ceremony, and I often found myself just sighing with happiness as I read from your questionnaire responses how you feel about one another, and what makes you love one another so much. I have only one question, post wedding ceremony: where in the Sierra’s was Dorsey, before that first date? I LOVE the Sierra Nevada Mountains.
