Nadira Design is a Seattle-based floral design company owned and operated by Amanda Nadira Bissessar offering creative services for all occasions. From root to bloom, Amanda and her team will walk alongside you to bring your vision to life through innovative and thoughtful design inspired by the seasonal beauty of the verdant Northwest. Understanding what our clients’ find beautiful and interpreting that beauty into custom floral design is at the heart of our process.

Born in tropical Guyana, South America, Amanda’s childhood years were spent playing outdoors and exploring the beautiful gardens. The native flora was breathtaking: vast, colorful, and full of texture. A love for the visual world and its natural elements led her to study Fiber Arts and Textile Design which inspired her to embark on her floral journey. Sourcing seasonally and locally whenever possible, we create enchanted and elevated floral for every occasion by combining the vibrancy of the living arts with alluring, curated design.

    We had such an amazing experience working with Amanda and the team at Nadira Design! They came highly recommended by both our venue, The Ruins, and our day-of coordinator, Deci with Kind & Co. Events — and now we understand why. From the very beginning, it was like Amanda was inside our heads. She understood our vision to a T and brought it to life with so much care, creativity, and intention. She was also incredibly reasonable and flexible with our budget, which meant the world to us — we honestly couldn’t have imagined anyone else creating what she did. Throughout the months of planning, Amanda and her team were so attentive and communicative, checking in often to make sure nothing had changed and that we still loved the direction. The initial vision board they presented was beyond what we could have dreamed of — and somehow, the final result was even better. On the day of our wedding, Amanda and her team completely transformed the space into our dark and moody October vision. We were going for something Twilight-inspired — a bit spooky and romantic without leaning into Halloween — and they nailed it perfectly. The rich vines, moss, dark purple and orange florals, and tiny white pumpkins created the exact atmosphere we were hoping for. It was breathtaking, and we still have some of our favorite pieces drying in our home as keepsakes! Amanda and her team played such a crucial role in making our big day so beautiful, and we’d recommend them a million times over — especially for weddings. If you want a floral designer who truly listens, understands your vision, and pours passion into every detail, look no further than Nadira Design. I’ll absolutely be working with them again for future personal and professional events!
