Krista and Kelvin Ramirez met as professional dancers. They founded YNC to celebrate the joy of dance with all couples and families. They have a combined 30+ years of dance experience including but not limited to Latin, Swing, Bollywood, Tango, Contemporary, Waltz, Hip Hop, and Jazz. Being recently married, Krista and Kelvin understand the stress and pressure that a wedding often brings on. Their goal is to give couples a chance to let go of the wedding tension and be able to dance, laugh, and learn something new together.

All lessons are custom created to you! You receive the benefit of two instructors, a private studio, and videos of your choreography as you learn! YNC works to ensure you are comfortable and truly at ease on the dance floor. Our lessons are done in a judgement free way that feels more like a date night. We break down all of our moves in an easy to understand way and pull from different genres to make your dance one of a kind. We can cut music to create unique mashups as well. We offer packages that range from simple and romantic to fully customized choreography/mashups and anything in between! YNC will help you light up the night!

    YNC Made Us look Like Pros

    Our first dance ended up being one of the most special moments of our wedding, and we have YNC to thank for that! Every lesson felt like a little date night where we got to step away from all the wedding craziness and just enjoy being together.     Krista and Kelvin made our dreams come true with their patience and belief in us when we came to them with our ambitious idea to learn the exact choreo to Saturday Night Fever's More Than a Woman dance scene! They broke everything down to make it FUN and easy for us (who were clueless as to this style of dance). They include videos of you learned at the end of every class so you can be perfectly prepared. We highly recommend to anyone as they are so knowledgeable and kind.

Yes! We completely understand how overwhelming a first dance can feel if you have never danced before. At YNC we strive to ensure you are comfortable and confident on the dance floor! Your first dance is about the two of you, having fun, and working together. We choreograph our dances to highlight your best dance moves. If something doesn’t work, we change it. No experience necessary.
This depends on the type of dance you would like and how complex you would like the choreography to be. We have couples that begin over a year out with us, as well as couples who come to us the week of their wedding! On average, we recommend reaching out to us 4-6 months before your wedding so we can find a timeline that works best for you.
All of our packages include: - The use of a private dance studio for you and your fiancé. - Two instructors for every lesson. Krista and Kelvin are at all lessons together. This offers two perspectives when demonstrating and learning. - All choreography is prepared before you walk in the door. Krista and Kelvin work outside of your lesson so you are ready to dance the moment you walk in! - You will receive a video of what you have learned in each lesson. This is an invaluable tool for practicing on your own and you can see tangible results of your hard work! - Music cutting is included with all packages of 5 or more lessons.
Absolutely not! We can work with any length song and even help with cutting the music if you want to shorten your song (or put several together for a mashup). A typical length for a wedding dance is 2 to 3 and a half minutes. Music cutting is included with packages of 5 or more and is only $35 for 4 or less sessions.
YNC has created several package options that work with all budgets and event needs. Discounts are offered for 3 lesson packages and above. We can also create custom packages for those wanting to incorporate their wedding parties, long distance couples, and parent dances. Please inquire for package prices.
Yes! If you would like to learn some simple moves that are impressive to your guests, we are available for Zoom lessons. They work extremely well for couples unable to make in person sessions or even parent dances.
Unless otherwise agreed upon, all lessons are 1 hour from start time. We can also utilize your chosen package to extend lessons to an hour and a half. This is a great option for couples who may not live nearby and want to make the most of their time with us or have a schedule that may not allow for lessons every week.
We base our package recommendations off of three main factors: 1. How choreographed you would like your dance to be - More or complex choreography takes a bit more time to learn and teach. Simple dances will require fewer lessons. 2. How long your chosen song(s) is - A four minute song will take longer to learn than a 2 minute song. 3. Your ability to pick up the dance moves and practice - Our goal is to send you out looking and feeling your best! We also understand that learning a dance is often like learning a new language. It’s a skill that requires practice and we always want to set you up for success!
