I think the one thing I'm going to miss the most about the wedding planning process is our first dance lessons with Zak! My husband and I went into the lessons thinking we both had two left feet and walked out of there feeling so confident for our wedding day. Zak always meet us feel so welcome, seen, and comfortable. He is truly talented at his craft and made our experience SO FUN! I highly recommend booking with him!!

For years, music at social gatherings didn’t bring me joy—it brought me anxiety. I was the guy who was completely stiff, didn’t know how to move my hips, and sat out every occasion. Whenever my friends, relatives, or my wife dragged me onto the dance floor, I would only agree if it was pitch black and crowded enough for me to hide my complete inability to dance. I was missing out on life’s best moments because I was hiding in the shadows. Everything changed because of a milestone: my mother’s 40th anniversary. Her only wish was to dance all night until she was tired. Being the oldest of eight siblings, I knew I had to step up and fulfill her request. That’s when I found Zak. Taking dance classes with Zak completely unlocked something in me. He didn't just teach me steps; he gave me the foundation and the confidence to actually feel the music. Of course, the magic doesn't just happen during the lessons—taking what he taught and consistently practicing it at home is what truly made it click. The night of the anniversary, I did something I have never done in my entire life: my wife and I were the very first people on the dance floor. Because of Zak, I didn’t just survive the night; I lived it. I danced with my wife, my daughter, my sister, and my mom. My mom was deeply moved and impressed to see her oldest son out there. My sister made sure the whole room heard her say that in 39 years of being my sister, she had *never* danced with me before, and she loved every second of it. My daughter was over the moon to have her daddy spinning her around, and my wife is beyond happy to see how much I’ve grown. Thank you, Zak, for showing me a side of dancing that has opened up an entirely new level of fun. You helped me create priceless, unforgettable memories that I would have completely missed out on if I hadn't walked into your studio. If you are sitting on the sidelines of your own life, do yourself a favor and take a class with Zak. It changes everything.

I began learning to dance five years ago with Zak. I had never danced at all and am competitive enough that I did not relish the thought of not being at least "passable" in a new activity. I was delighted that even though I did not know even basic steps - lessons with him were a ball. He is personable, warm and funny and has a gregarious, sweet nature that put me at ease and made learning non threatening. He is respectful and always polite but asks and expects a lot of his students. He manages to do so in such a way that they are motivated to give what he's asking for and benefit by learning. I find his teaching VERY effective. I enjoy both dancing with him, and learning from him. I am a different person through dance - with better balance, attention to detail, and a knowledge of my own body's position and ability to move that I did not have before starting. I would recommend Zak to anyone thinking even casually of starting lessons. You will learn, you will enjoy, and you will continually improve!

If I could give Zak 10 stars I would! He makes learning fun and is so patient as well. As someone who started not knowing a thing about dance, I would highly recommend taking his classes, you won’t regret it!

We absolutely loved working with Zak for our wedding dance. He was so patient, easy to communicate with, and made the entire experience fun and memorable.
