Table and Thyme was created by Thomas Cox, founder of MealFit. His passion for quality food and service is unwavering and he strives to deliver nothing less than a top notch experience to all of his clients. His knowledge of food and event catering started several years ago, and today he is happy to bring his love of food, hospitality, and meaning of quality time well spent around the table to the Birmingham community!

    I contracted Table and Thyme to cater our daughter's 120 guest wedding based on their beautiful webpage images and glowing reviews online 11 months before the wedding date. I kept in contact with our coordinator Emilee monthly while making decisions. 2 months before the Sept 2025 date every detail was decided. Emilee works remotely, as she lives 4 hours from their office and is a stay at home mom with a new baby. This distance and distraction I believe caused the many problems we endured. The day of our event was chaotic, and disappointing. They were unable to start at the agreed 4:30 pm time. Emilee failed to prepare her 6 person crew to provide all that she and I discussed in the months prior. There was not the signature cocktail we ordered, there was not the after dinner drink we ordered, there was not a carving station for the pork we ordered and they put half the wedding cake in a box before the dinner was served for us to take home. Most importantly the crew was unable to serve the drinks, buffet and desserts on the timeline prepared by planner as if those on site never saw it. My family and guests were disappointed. The Table and Thyme contract has a clause detailing how they will honor a "failure to provide" complaint. It has been a week and they have not made things right. Sadly both Thomas Cox and Emilee are too busy with other day to day duties to do the catering jobs as they advertise.

    I highly recommend Table and Thyme for any catered event. The fact that you can customize your menu is a very unique offering that some other catering companies do not offer. I love that they focus on the experience and working with you to create exactly what you had in mind.

    I cannot say enough great things about how amazing Table & Thyme was to work with! Thomas took our vision and completely customized a menu for our cocktail hour and seated dinner!! He also went above and beyond to help me surprise my groom with a specialty dessert that served as the groom’s cake! The service was top notch! I would recommend Table & Thyme to anyone looking for exceptional catering needs and will 100% use them for our future catering needs.
