Super Chix was born in 2014 in Dallas, Texas as a restaurant dedicated to chicken and custard. In October of 2019, the very first franchise opened in Huntsville, Alabama. Our store decided to take a dive into the wedding industry and hasn't looked back. We provide our clients with affordable per person pricing and a delicious spread at their weddings and events. With a dedicated catering staff, we are able to cater to 5 people or 500 people. Our menu features southern classics and at the center of it all - chicken.

Super Chix in Huntsville offers clear, transparent per person event pricing. Our couples spend as low as $7 per guest, which saves big money in the long run. We offer free tastings to try our items and meet with us face to face. Our ingredients are sourced locally and come fresh to us. There is no freezer in our kitchen as our products are truly fresh and never frozen.

    We worked with this caterer for our wedding and overall had a mixed experience. On the positive side, communication leading up to the event was great — Emma, the marketing director, was very responsive, and we appreciated being able to do a tasting beforehand. As the bride, I was so busy that I didn’t get to enjoy much of the food during the reception, but I did love the mac and cheese, and we’ve enjoyed reheating the leftover tenders afterward. That said, there were some challenges the day of. Guests felt the portion sizes were on the smaller side (many received just 1–2 tenders), and I wish those had been larger. On the flip side, we ended up with a lot of leftover salad (around 10 trays). I was told this was partly because we also had a large charcuterie spread, but it still seemed like quite a bit of waste. The cake also wasn’t cut by the catering team as we had discussed, which caused some confusion. I later learned that friends were helping refill drinks while the staff was still on-site. Some of this was due to miscommunication with our coordinator, but I do think there’s room for improvement in execution on the catering side. We did work with management afterward, and they refunded the gratuity, which I appreciated. In the end, I’d say the food was tasty and the pricing was good value, but there are definitely areas where the service could be tightened up.

    It was challenging to plan a wedding during Covid, but Super Chix made the reception easy. We opted for the food service to ease our guests’ minds about having so many people touching the utensils, etc. All of the servers were friendly and professional. They helped bus the tables too! Of course everyone loved the chicken, chips, and salad. But the frozen custard really finished it off right! We got two flavors and had it served along with the cake. I have nothing but praise for the way Super Chix handled the wedding. I had lots of tasty leftovers too.
