Used this bakery for my wedding and was very unhappy with the overall experience. My understanding was this is a boutique bakery but the experience was more of a Walmart bakery except with a hefty price tag. The day of the cake tasting the owner/baker was late. She requested we let her know ahead of time which flavors we were interested and we did to our surprise no cake slices to taste were prepared instead she pulled cupcakes from her selling display case. We asked ahead of time to try butter cake, pistachio/rose, and berries & cream. The tasting experience felt unorganized and lacked preparation. By the time we had the tasting we had already paid 800 in a deposit that was non refundable and continued to use her for the wedding. We attempted to contact the baker via email before the final portion of the invoice was due to confirm we were all set. We didn’t receive a response and were ghosted. We had to have our wedding planner personally contact this baker in order to get a response. Imagine how stressful that is just 40 days before your wedding. The baker finally replied after our wedding planner contacted her and then stated we had additional fees due for cake stands. However our invoice already had a line item fee of dessert stands rentals allocated and it felt like she was trying to charges us a second time for something we already paid. After a lot of back and forth and us pulling the hard copy of her original invoice she stated there was no additional fee. I’m glad I printed and saved all documents because it seems that helped clear up that confusion. The wedding day came and the dessert cookies, brownies and pastries were good but the cakes we received were dry and not good. Due to her historical lack of communication I didn’t bother letting the baker know the cakes sucked and just chucked up my losses of 1,600 for a 2 tier cake that looked good in photos but didn’t taste good; the cookies/ pastries we got were good. Over all the lack of communication for such an expensive purchase, the lack of quality when only half of this order was good really made this experience extremely unpleasant as a customer. I do not recommend using this bakery for a wedding cake, their cookies / pastries were good but that’s it. This is not a boutique bakery and it could definitely improve on replying to emails for wedding orders better without having to make a 3rd party (in this case my wedding planner) contact her on her person phone to reply to a customer. Use this place for smaller items nothing here over 1,000 like we did.
