Our history began in the mid-1900s when Salvatore Collura, Joseph's father, and first-generation Italian American started his own business selling fresh fruits and vegetables from his produce truck. This truck made daily trips to Pittsburgh's historic Strip District where Salvatore hand-picked his produce for selling "door to door" to families in the city and surrounding communities. Joseph, at the early age of eight, helped his father and soon became familiar with the family business.

Perfect party catering!!
From our first conversation, Vicki and her team at Salvatore's Catering made us feel at ease. Since this was our first time hosting a large event, Vicki was incredibly helpful in walking us through everything we needed and answered our calls right away whenever we had questions. What really impressed us was that they brought their own grill to the venue and prepared the hot food on-site, which kept everything fresh and delicious. Our guests couldn't get enough of the food—everyone went back to the buffet for seconds! The staff was professional and attentive throughout the entire day, making sure everything ran smoothly. We couldn't have asked for a better catering experience, and we'd recommend Salvatore's to any couple looking for quality food and genuine service.
