He is first generation Nigerian - American and is originally from Bowie, MD. From a young age Desmond was always fond of people This well rounded trait accompanied by his genuine interest for quality drinks, supported his passion in curating the lethal combination of exclusive experiences with customized cocktails. At the age of 17 at the Green Turtle, a local restaurant in MD, Desmond began his journey. With only 4 days to learn the cocktail menu, this was the first time he proved the extent of his capabilities to himself. He enjoyed the connections in meeting new people, brining people together and creating in a free form.

This new found creative space, sparked what would be his next big move to Philadelphia. While in Philly, Desmond began the true ground work in perfecting his craft and owning his talents through the creation of his personal brand DrinksByDez™. Now fully operational in freelance work, and serves to curate diverse people, vibes, and customized cocktails under one roof for the ultimate experience. This current Drink Collection is a testament to where i have been and to where i am going with infusing my roots as a Nigerian and my love of for a well made cocktail, featuring popular spirit and keen ways on how to bring out the best flavors .
